I did that -- printed it at office depot on plain paper and then framed it in a super cheap black frame I got from amazon! I don't want to post pictures because it has everyone's first and last name, but I would def recommend doing it this way. The whole thing probably cost me <$30.

This isn’t a seating chart but I had my welcome sign printed at staples from an etsy template. It’s on foam board.

I can't remember but either weddingwire on a computer or theknot on a computer had a diy seating chart for tables and seating. As well as a printable thing to print off the names to which table there seated at. It may not be fancy but you can make the board fancy. And it's free.
