Ashley, on July 17, 2011 at 4:03 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 23

I LOVE my shoes and wear heels a lot but am nervous about the 4" heel on my shoes. Im nervous about my feet hurting, I dont wanna look back and remember how much pain my feet were in.

Ha ha I wore flip flops! I LOVE heels, but I was SO glad that I didn't have to worry about heels. I also had an outdoor wedding, plus my husband isn't a whole lot taller than me, so I didn't want to be taller than him. If you do go with heels I would make sure to have a back up pair of flats, and I don't know if I would go with such a high heel. You could always just wear them for pictures. If your dress is floor length, no one will be able to see your feet anyway.

I would stick with the heels. I have a 4" heel too and I've been wearing them a lot lately. They are slightly platform, which make them easier to walk in, but I would recommend the Dr. Scholls High Heel insoles.

I am debating wearing my combat boots (yes i am being honest lol) but only considering it right now i plan on wearing a long floor length dress so it will basically hide it but i know i will be real me underneath lol and i wont worry about feet hurting. but if i dont i will be wearing flip flops Smiley smile

Are you wearing a short or long dress? If it's a longer dress, you can get away with shorter heels. Also, you can wear heels for pictures and the ceremony. You'll be able to get away with flats for the reception as a compromise.

I'm planning on a beach wedding. I still want heels so I'm going for wedges so they don't dig in the sand.

Hi Ashley...totally understand you. Mine are 4 inches and my feet were hurting during the first fitting. I think walking around in them helps but we may both need some additional support to last the night. I'm also buying some smaller heels for when I get tired. I love my shoes and don't want to give them up, so we will see. I think if you don't want to worry about the pain, find another pair. If you can't see yourself in another pair, then go with the ones you have and try to make them comfy. Smiley smile

I have about 3-3 1/2 heels. I think I will be fine but I will make sure that myself and

all of my BM get them too!

I am wearing 3 inch heels. I wear 4 inch ones almost every day, but I decided to go a bit shorter for the wedding to make sure I was comfortable. With whatever shoes you decide to wear for the wedding, wear them around the house to break them in prior to the wedding if they're new.

Make sure you break them in. and remember- you get what you pay for- higher quality shoes will be more comfortable. i have a pair of 5" ish with a 3/4" platform and i can wear them all day as long as my toenails aren't cut funny and hitting the edge.

    Wear them around the house.

I slightly nervous about my shoes - they are 5inches. I can wear 4 inches without much problem but I wasn't sure about 5inches. I wore them around the house, up and down the stairs, etc and made sure I could stand comfortably in them for 20minutes (ceremony length.) I made sure to do this before the return period was up.

Those are my ceremony shoes. I have 3 1/2 inch heels for the reception. I'm a shoe girl!!

If they aren't comfortable after you wear them around a bit then maybe think about returning them.

I wore my 4 inch heels most of the entire day. I didn't come out of them until maybe an hour before the reception was over. You can do it! lol

LOL, I know the ultrahigh heels are the "in" thing, but to me that translates as "blisters and likely broken ankles." I am going to max out at 3-3.5". Hard to find a heel I like that isn't at least 4" though. Crazy!! When did this happen? Is the fashion industry now catering to toe dancers? (Okay, I'm old and curmudgeonly.)
