Wedding shoes-CONVERSE :)

I cant walk in heels. Last time I tried was my highschool graduation, and i broke my toe haha. So our entire wedding party is wearing converse "chucks." Anyone else wearing shoes "out of the norm" for their wedding? Post your pics!!

Love this. My FS and I want comfy shoes. I'll probably order vans in the wedding colors.

@Jacks - i get that but ppl don't have to be mean and vile about it either, do they?

you can tactful in your disagreement with the OP. The OP said her party is fine with it so let it be. harping on it won't change a thing about her decision or her party's decision.

@Ellenwood - no one was mean or vile. We were giving suggestions and OP did not take criticism well.

I'm not a heel wearer but I found a pair that is low enough and has cushion and is comfortable

My girls and I are all wearing yellow oxfords! Here is a picture I took of them on.

Second picture is of their outfits (dress on left, just stealing the sash idea from the other dress picture).

CoBoundAdv - I keep going back in forth between chacos or birkenstocks for myself. I love my chacos

We're wearing boots, their idea. Believe it or not some girls are actually ok with any excuse to buy new shoes . They already have boots they can wear but most are buying new ones. Because you circle of friends would pitch a fit over shoes there are also pleanty that won't. I think the converse are adorable

OP never takes anything that is not her view completely out of context and blows it up ! Sorry i guess were all supposed to think what she thinks or believes is correct.

Ooh I'm wearing toms or ballet flats! Probably ballet flats for my ceremony and then toms for the reception. But I'm not making my bridesmaids wear any specific shoes. They can do what they want as long as they make it and have fun with me!

@Hannah M. I get the same comments! I'm 5"2 and look like a baby so everybody has freaked out over the fact that I'm not wearing high heels.

Thank you for all you pictures and kind words ladies! I love all your ideas. To those who have concerns, thanks. I thought about them, and they don't apply to my situation. I am having a fantastic time planning my wedding, and I hope you all the same.

We are! I'll hopefully have some tie dye going on for shoes and the FH and GM will be in converse.

My shoes aren't really "out of the norm". But I customize shoes for a living, so I'll be painting a design on my own shoes for the wedding Smiley smile

I wore boots for the ceremony and then changed into converse to match my DH and son. I loved it. DH and I also wore matching sock and our son wore as close as we could get. It was nice to do it as a family and still be able to afterwards. I do not like dressing up as is so I would much rather get a pair of shoes/boots that I would be willing to wear again. Plus, I'm clumsy so heels were definitely not happening.

If the guiding principal of any given forum was "if you don't have something nice to say, don't way anything at all"

    There would be no forums.
