Hi everyone. So my matron of honor and future mother in law are giving my fiancé and I a wedding shower. My mother in law decided she wanted to send out the invitations. She plans on sending them out 3 weeks before the wedding shower meaning people would get them around 2 weeks before. Our shower is April 18th (almost a month away). I am a little concerned that 2 weeks is not early enough. Also my MOH wanted to send them out this week to give people more notice in case of busy schedules. Is 2-3 weeks before the date enough time? Or should I ask her to send them sooner

Definitely send them sooner! April is a very busy month and guests would need to mark their calendars and have time to RSVP

For any invitation under 3 weeks out, I would expect it to be done by phone call, with a chance to ask any questions, and likely a reply right then. It is short notice by mail. You could do it, but why not send them now?

Definitely send them sooner! My MOH is throwing my bridal shower. It's also on April 18, and she mailed the invitations yesterday. Yours should go out within the week. Better chance that people will be able to come.

My fiancé’s job requires him to take time off 14 days beforehand so I think they should be sent out sooner so people have time to do so

I don't think that's ample time for invites! Especially if the shower's on a Friday or Saturday.

Also having my bridal shower on the same day! My MOH sent invites out super early- towards the end of January. A lot of people already rsvpd. I would send them now if she could!
