Wedding Shower….with a baby?

Shay, on March 7, 2023 at 6:35 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 3
I’ll try to keep this short. I need advise on the etiquette regarding showers when you’ve already had a baby.

My fiancé and I had a surprise 10 months after we started dating. Baby was born premature so we missed our baby shower. He moved in with me at my mothers home for support with a premature baby while we remodel our house. He sold everything he had, and I’ve lived with my mother for the last 3 years after some rocky health issues and sold most of my possessions as well. We just got engaged and are planning a wedding at the end of the summer.
My question is, is it tacky to have a wedding shower now? I’m in my 30s with a baby but we have next to no home goods, and also I want the experience of doing this! I feel like I’ve missed out on some things but don’t want to have a shower or let anyone host if it’s tacky.

Having a baby doesn’t preclude you from having a bridal shower in the time leading up to your wedding.

Having a baby doesn’t have any bearing on a wedding shower. Go to the local Target and/or Walmart with fiancé and register for everything you want and need for your new home.
