Wedding showers

Before my fiance and I postponed our wedding, a couple family members were planning on hosting a bridal shower for me. They were going to stagger the times that everyone showed up at, so that there were only 6 people or less there at a time. This way, I would still have gotten to socialize with everyone, and the group sizes would have stayed small. Since we ended up postponing, we also postponed the bridal shower, so I can't say whether this worked out as well as it sounds. But it seems like it would have went as well as a COVID bridal shower could have gone.

My mother and sisters (who are also my maid of honors) through me a virtual shower! It went great. I traveled home to be with my mother , sisters and aunt while everyone else was a part of the shower virtually. They had people send in their gifts before the shower and so I got to open them online. We also played about 3 games online and they were very fun! We gave out prizes so they were mailed to those who won. I really enjoyed my time, it couldn't have been better!

We are still gonna have a bridal shower for my bride but I’ve no clue how big of a guest list it’s gonna be. It’s scheduled for late August

My MOH was starting to look into places for us to do the bridal shower in October. We wouldn’t have more than 15 people present though.
Last she told me, she wanted to have it at the coffee shop in the town where I grew up. I mean if we need to wear face masks then that’s what we will do.
I already told her I didn’t need any of the pre wedding parties... but she said even if we had to virtually do the bridal shower, I was getting one and a bachelorette celebration.

The staggering idea is great, if you can safely have people over. I've also seen drive bys/parades as a tactic, and, of course, Zoom.

Some of our friends are having baby showers, so a bit different, but we seem to be going the "mail the gift to the couple" route, and two friends who live closest will do the actual interacting (probably with masks, as we are all in the NYC area). The rest of us will likely video conference in.

I’m hosting a shower for a friend of mine. Right now, the plan is to have it outside at a winery (that also serves food) where we can have the tables spaced apart for social distancing. Masks are required at here unless you’re sitting at your table, so we will absolutely abide by that. Outside also helps reduce the risk. I wouldn’t have a group of people indoors.
It will be at the end September, so a lot could change between now and then!

I'm having a staggered Bridal shower outdoors July 19th.

40 people total in 4 different time brackets.

Long day for me but It's important to my friends and Family so I'm allowing it.

I've seen people do staggered parties and drive by parties! Would either of those work for you?

View Quoted Comment Thank you! This is a great option if you can't do an in person shower with everyone! Zoom also allows you to do what's called "Breakouts" where you can break people off into groups. I believe it's an extra charge but it's good for jeopardy games!
