Wedding Stress and Weight Loss

Meme, on May 6, 2016 at 9:01 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 10

A co-worker warned me that right before the wedding, I would lose weight. She has been telling me for months to gain a few pounds. I laughed at her. Now I realize she was right. I have dropped into the underweight category this week. And I have one week to go. I don't know what to do. Now I am stressing about being too skinny and the wedding. I am 5'8" and 120 lbs, that is just too skinny. Has this happened to anyone else ?

When I go through super stressful times I tend to drop a bunch of weight all at once. Does your dress still fit? I would say get on an eating schedule if you're super busy. Force yourself to stop and eat 3-4 times a day.

MNBride, I haven't put me dress on this week. I haven't worn it since the bridal portrait session a month ago. It was still fit then. But I know my boobs have disappeared. All my bras fit like vest now. I might have to go with some falsies for the wedding =(

Oh my goodness. I couldn't imagine being that tiny! I've never been tiny though, I'm 5'8" too. I have a thick body type. If I were you I'd be eating donuts for breakfast and ice cream before bed lol idk how your metabolism is but eating and being lazy right after puts weight on most people.

Gaining stress weight here! No clothes fit. But I know when you're thin and lose stress weight it's just as frustrating. Try to eat really frequently this week but I personally wouldn't load up on fatty high calorie foods because it might impact face puffiness and acne... no matter what, you will be an absolutely beautiful bride. If you have to wear padding to make your dress fit, then girl you rock that padding. Enjoy your day! I can't wait to see pictures!

I have that problem sometimes. I'm an inch shorter than you and am 5 pounds heavier. I don't get hungry when I'm stressed. Anything below 125 and I lose my boobs. When I'm stressed, I try to carb up. Whole wheat pasta with meat sauce is my best friend. Also, force yourself to eat a healthy breakfast even if you're not hungry. Eggs on toast with avocado or a protein shake. Also, peanut butter all day.

Don't stress. Focus on making sure your caloric intake is higher than normal to put on a few lbs.

Try eating calorie-dense foods. Nuts are easy to snack on, and they pack a ton of calories. You could also make a smoothie with full-fat yogurt, chocolate protein powder, bananas, and peanut/almond butter. It's easier to drink a bunch of calories than eat them, and it's like a healthy milkshake.
