When daughter first started planning her wedding she was completely baffled when people asked her what her theme was.... She was like, "What???? Isn't 'wedding' a theme, because that's my only theme...." Her wedding was in January and someone got all excited and tried to convince her she should have a "woodland animals" theme; we got a good laugh over that. She finally started telling people her theme was "classy, traditional wedding and her colors were ivory, forest green, and blush....." Personally, I'm not a big fan of overly-themed weddings.

We didn't have a theme until I found these amazing invites that I just had to have. Definitely my one and only personal splurge lol. Our theme is marble and we will have pops of wine and navy blue with silver trimmings in the decor.

Our ceremony went from outside to inside which I think will work better anyway and we've decided to make our wedding a creative black tie event. I don't really have any decor inspo photos quite yet but I'll have them soon enough.Wedding Theme 2

We aren’t doing so much a “theme” but more a style... Vintage/Victorian. We came up with the idea kind of on the fly, when we were at the stationary store picking our invitations. Here are some insp pics

We had a fairytale book enchanted forest vibe without being too theme-y. My venue inspired it, since it was in a historic library. You can see the reading room full of books 6 storeys high. Here are some pics of our wedding (I don't have any inspo pics anymore so these are from our actual wedding)

Originally, I did not plan to have a strong “theme” for the wedding. I was mainly just working off a dark moody color scheme. However, FH and I were looking at invitations one evening and fell in love with one that immediately reminded both of us of the same exact thing at the same exact time. It held a certain significance to us separately when we were younger, and became significant to us again together as adults. We just knew immediately that should be the theme of our wedding. As much as I absolutely loved my dark moody color scheme before, having a theme that was was significant to us both separately and together as a couple has made planning so much more fun & meaningful, and FH has been so much more involved with the planning process now too! I have actually never personally been to a wedding that had a theme, so I was curious how many people actually had them. That is when I found this statistic.....

I knew themes had become more popular in recent years, but I had no idea more than half of all couples are now choosing them!!

Picking out invitations was actually the catalyst to us choosing our theme also! Your invites are beautiful & so classy... They will definitely convey the tone of the wedding!

I would say vintage/Victorian is definitely a theme! And it’s not one I have ever seen before! From your inspiration pictures, it looks like you are absolutely nailing the theme! Can’t wait to see pictures of your wedding! Are you wearing a Victorian inspired dress?

This is my dress, if I get the lace jacket I think it would be a little vintage. Wasn’t thinking too much of a theme when I got it, I just wanted something I loved & was comfortable in.

Since our colors are champagne and glitter gold with a touch of wine, I came up with theme “Champagne Life” since champagne is the main wedding color. We will incorporate it by having mini gold champagne bottles with a thank you tag as favors at each place setting. We’re also thinking about getting one of those really big champagne bottles for our guest book. People would sign the bottle with gold pens.

I didn’t have a theme. The colors I chose though were mint and blush pink and I just always wanted lighter pastel colors

I did have a wedding planner, but I didn't get her til later on, and that was just so I didn't have to keep track of payments and negotiations. I designed everything and my florist and planner knocked it out of the park with the execution of my vision day-of. It was so cool to see it come to life after so much planning, on top marrying my best friend.

I don’t necessarily like calling it a theme, but I guess you could call it Marvel Rustic Romance. We’re incorporating Marvel aspects. I’m using lanterns, fairy lights and candles and for colors am planning on wine, dusty rose, with touches of rose gold, blush and ivory.

As a huge fan of champagne, I have to say this is never a bad theme! LOL I would be ecstatic to be invited to a champagne themed wedding
