Wedding time

Megan, on October 13, 2019 at 5:43 PM Posted in Texas Planning 0 4
What would be a good time in y’alls opinion to start a wedding in April in Texas? 2pm, 4pm, or 6pm? I’m really struggling on the time. It’ll only be a four hour wedding with a small guest count.

    Hey Megan Smiley smile

What is making this decision difficult for you?

Is it the different temperatures during the day? Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

As your wedding is on a Sunday, will your guests have far to travel home? Perhaps take this into consideration in deciding an end time.

What time would you like everything to be wrapped up at?

Are there any other concrete times you need to take into consideration when deciding on your timeline? For example, your photography and any shots you want to get at specific times of the day (such as sunset).

    Hi Megan,

A mid-afternoon around 2-4pm will be early enough for your guests to enjoy the day and still have time to go home and relax before beginning their work week.

    Just a thought.

I would say later, 6pm. 2:00 is the hottest part of the day. Are you getting married on a Saturday?
