Wedding Timeline (need help!)

Angelica, on March 27, 2022 at 8:31 PM Posted in Planning 3 6
Hi everyone! I am getting married in December, and my ceremony is at 12:00pm (I can’t change the time because it is at a church and there is another couple getting married at 2 😩). I need to figure out a timeline and am kind of panicking as to how me and six girls will be getting ready without waking up at 4:00 am? If someone could give me a timeline I would so, so appreciate it. Thank you!

Did you both set on this time to have your wedding. But you will have to be up around 7-7:30. And makeup person should be there by 9am .Then the other girls should be showering should be half way dress. While your waiting for your makeup etc.To be done and every one should be dressed by 10:00am. And then you will be getting dress and ready by11am-11:25 and transparent should be waiting for you by 11:30 to be on the way

How much prep are you expecting for your bridal party (Hair, Nails, Makeup, etc.)? If you book appointments with vendors to help get ready, they should be able to advise you on how long their service will take based on your desired look and the size of your bridal party. Make sure to account for travel time if you are not getting ready at the ceremony location.

My wedding was very relaxed with prep taking about 2.5 hours: we did nails the night before, quick showers after breakfast, MOH did her own hair and then did mine at the venue, I did my own makeup and my MOH did not wear makeup. It can be as formal and lavish or as relaxed and casual as you want it to be.

Also important things to factor in for your wedding timeline:
Are you doing a first look?
Are group/family photos taking place before or after the ceremony?

If I were you I would find a hair/makeup service that has multiple people working at the same time. I had 1 hair and 1 makeup person for myself plus 6 bridesmaids and it took 4 hours for everyone to be done. Depending on your artist, makeup takes about 40 minutes, and hair can take 20-40 minutes (depending on the style!)

Also take in to account when you need to leave, and if you are taking any photos (first look? Getting ready pics?) before the wedding.

I would start with talking to hair and makeup companies and asking for the timeline they would suggest!

I would definitely talk to the hair/makeup artists that you plan on using. They will give you a better timeline for how long it will take for each person. They can also bring more people as needed since the ceremony is so early.

You can save time by doing photos after the ceremony, i.e. no first look. I would also consult your hair and makeup artists and tell them your timeline concerns. They may be able to bring in a larger team to get everything done.

Thanks everyone! We weren’t doing a first look, so I didn’t have to factor that in at all. I’m waiting on the response from my makeup/hair artist, and then I will go from there. Thank you so much!
