Wedding Timeline

Curious what your wedding timelines look like! I have attached what I am thinking of doing below. We aren’t having a bridal party, speeches, bouquet toss. Is there anything I should change? We technically have the venue till eleven so I am not sure if I should add time anywhere. Wedding Timeline 1

This looks pretty good I would just recommend scheduling in transition time. Also wedding ceremonies never start on time, so you should plan on the ceremony actually starting about 10-15 minutes after the posted start time to give guests a chance to filter in, find their seat, etc. Both of these suggestions were made to us by our venue.

    This is a good timeline,however:

You said " We technically have the venue till eleven" but you wrote "10-11:30 FIRE"? Do you have the venue till 11 PM or 11:30 PM?

Our venue just recommended we buffer some time at the start of the day and make sure we have some time to allow people to move from one space to another (ceremony to cocktail hour to reception). So for example, the DJ announces that guests go to seats at 5:40 but salad doesn't actually "get served" until 5:45 (in reality the salad will be at the table when they arrive at their seats). People need a bit of time from when they are directed to do something until it actually happens (like when the DJ announces for people to go to their seats, they will wrap up conversation, gather their drinks, and walk over and get settled, all of which takes a few minutes) and if any of your locations are in different spots (for example our ceremony site is on a hillside that is a short 5 min walk from the reception area and dinner and cocktail areas are in different but adjoining spaces, but we should account for that movement, especially if we have any guests with mobility issues or who decide to wear really high heels because it might take them a bit longer to get from one location to the other.

Here is our rough timeline if helpful:

    4pm listed ceremony start time

    4:15 realistic/actual ceremony start time

    4:45-5:45 cocktail hour

    5:40 guests go to seats

    5:45 salad

    Toast #1

    6:05 dinner

    Toast #2

    6:50 cake?

    7-10pm dancing

    8:30pm sunset/fire started outside
