Wedding to fall on May 5th?

Lana, on September 23, 2023 at 9:51 AM Posted in Planning 0 5
Hello,
We have a venue that have a few Sundays opened in May 2024. It was either Cinco de Mayo or Mother's Day, or May 19 which is my birthday.

I don't celebrate CDM as I am not Hispanic heritage.
Is it weird or okay to get married on that day?
I don't have plans on making a wedding theme based on it either. Just a regular wedding theme.

If it’s not a day you celebrate and you’re not trying to theme it, I don’t think it’s weird.

Nope, not strange at all. I wouldn’t think twice about it

I don't think that's a weird day to get married at all.

I don't see anything wrong with that at all.

Perfect ! I got married May 6th this year. As long as your venue is not in an area that will have traffic issues due to this "holiday", it's fine. I just say this because our Welcome Dinner was May 5th in the downtown area ..... which closed half the streets leading to our event due to parades and street parties. 😱😱 Thank God my son took over answering my phone with lost people on the other end.
