Wedding tomorrow, sick today

Blahblahblah, on May 24, 2019 at 8:06 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 15
I need some tips and tricks on how to recover fast. I woke up at 4am throwing up. My wedding is tomorrow morning at 730. And I’m afraid FH and son is going to get it. Ugh

I would drink plenty of peppermint/ ginger tea or ginger ale. Crackers and Chicken broth. Use alot of Lysol products in your house and have your FH and son stay far away from you. Sending you postive healing vibes 😊

    Oh no 😟
See a doc right away. They can give you something. Drink plenty of fluids (tea, ginger ale & anything else that feels good). Wash your hands like crazy (in case it’s stomach bug) & just stay away from FH & son. Have FH clean all common surfaces asap (kitchen especially) with alcohol/water mix or any Lysol or similar product.
If you threw up only once, could it just be anxiety?
    Feel better soon!

To the doctor sister! Perhaps she/he can give you something to knock out whatever bug is bothering you. Make sure you change sheets and clear surfaces too if you have the chance.

If you are into holistic health and think it may just be nerves, peppermint/ ginger tea tends to soothe really well.

Your wedding is going to be wonderful! Try to get some rest today if you can and ask for help when you need it !

Oh my goodness! I hope you feel better soon, or see a doctor ASAP. Hopefully it’s not a stomach virus and it’s just nerves.

Doctor or urgent care ASAP. They can recommend care that will match the cause, whether it's nerves, food poisoning, a bug etc. Gatoraid or pedialyte can really help prevent dehydration

    Get well soon!!!

I had an awful stomach bug a few months ago and was given Zofran. It really, really helped with the nausea. You may see if you could try that just to get you through the day. Feel better!!

It can be nerves. I was the same way. The night of my rehearsal I couldn't eat or drink. The day of the wedding was worse. I barely ate during my reception because I just felt sick. The stress and anxiety made me very sick to my stomach. I just drank a lot of water and powerade.

As others have recommended, see a doctor for some guidance. In general, I would say if you can, take a nap, get some rest! Your body works best at recovering when sleeping. Any sleep will help settle things a bit.

Go to a doctor ASAP! Last month I got sick from stress. Twenty canker sores popped up all over my mouth at the same time! I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with aphthous ulcers which were onset by the stress and not contagious. It's entirely possible that your stress has made you sick too. Good luck!

I agree with others that it might be stress! If it is a virus or something you ate, try taking activated charcoal pills. They soak up toxins in your stomach and usually can lessen symptoms of stomach bugs or food poisoning!

You’ve already gotten great advice for the actual sickness part. Here’s my tip to minimize the damage for your pics!

If your eyes get puffy and your cheeks get all splotchy when you throw up (mine do!), lay a cold wet wash cloth over them. A cold gel mask would be even better.
