I am looking for a wedding venue in the Cincinnati/Lawrenceburg area (Ohio and Indiana) I am trying not to spend over $1,000 on the venue since there will only be about 100 guests and I need to keep the whole wedding under $4,000. I am making all the food and decorations so the venue doesn't need to provide that. Does anyone know of a good venue? Preferably a barn or somewhere that is very rustic/country since that is our theme but I can work with any venue. And any advice on easy DIY rustic/country decorations would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You might want to try your local ELKS lodge. They are usually very competitive in their pricing.

How many guests are you planning? have you looked into any of the state parks. Withrow Nature Preserve is cheap. http://greatparks.org/reservations/weddings-at-withrow.html here is the website for it. i am in ohio as well so let me know if you need any help and i will see what i can do

For rustic decor, get it used. join weddingbee.com they have a great classified section. you can also log onto craiglist.org and do a search for wedding decor for sale.

Have you searched on WW vendors? Otherwise, you could look into County or State parks. We are in lower Michigan, so I don't know the area well enough to be of assistance. If you were in my area, I so would be able to help. Good luck!

Community halls? One near me includes tables & chairs for under $1,000 (but limited to 136 people).

Have you looked for any restaurants in the area? We are in VA and only know Columbus area in OH (go Buckeyes) but that's what we are using. There wasn't a venue fee, just a food and drink minimum which we are exceeding anyway. I'm putting the website for our venue here just so you can see there may be a restaurant worth looking at. Ours accommodates 120 guests.
