Wedding Website Faqs

Shirley, on February 18, 2021 at 7:38 AM Posted in Planning 2 11
I'm having a big celebration this Fall and am about to send out save the dates. I want to answer as many questions as I can on the website, especially covid questions. What questions would you want answered if you were a guest?

Maybe questions such as: "When is the RSVP deadline?", "What is the dress code?", "How many guests do you expect to attend?", "What COVID precautions are you taking?", "What can I do as a guest to help with COVID safety?", "What time does the ceremony start?", "What is the parking situation like?", "Is there a hotel room block?", etc.

    We included these Covid-related ones:
    - What precautions are being taken?
    - Do I have to wear a mask?- Will there be dancing?
The others were:- When is the RSVP deadline?- Can I bring a date?- Are kids welcome?- What time should I arrive?- What should I wear?- Where should I park?- I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?- Is there transportation being provided?- Can I take pictures during the ceremony?- Do you have a hashtag?- Whom should I call with questions?

Oh! And if it helps, these were some of the precautions that we listed out:

    - Hand sanitizer will be provided to each guest.
    - Masks will be made available for each guest.
    - Ceremony seating will be assigned and spaced out on an outdoor covered patio.
    - Cocktail hour takes place within the ballroom and on a small, private deck; you can use the full ballroom space during cocktail hour.
    - Staff will be serving cocktail hour appetizers.
    - Dinner seating will be spaced out, and we will make every effort to seat households or family groups together.
    - Dinner is plated rather than buffet-style.
    - Condiments will be provided in individual portions.
    - The venue has a rigorous cleaning schedule and is committed to keeping a safe environment.

These are the questions we have! Our website has an option to have a little COVID pop-up come up on your website, and they have different ones to choose from, so we have that to notify everyone on COVID.

    Are children invited?

Are phones allowed during the ceremony?

    What's the dress code?

    Can I bring a date?

    Will there be parking?

At the top of the page, it also says to contact the bride or groom with any questions not addressed on the website. Once it gets closer to the date, I'll be changing that contact to our day of coordinator so that we aren't getting bombarded with calls and texts the day of!

Thank you everyone! I currently have 25 questions, and I'm not sure if I'll trim it down or honestly just leave it so I don't get constant calls and texts

RSVP deadline, parking information, venue info (is it outdoors? on grass?), potential weather info if there's a lot of out of town guests (is it usually hot/humid/cold/rainy that time of the year?), hotel info, dress code, whether kids are allowed (if they're not maybe provide some babysitter information)

MOST IMPORTANT ONE from my sister's wedding, was putting info on there on who to contact day of the wedding. Essentially, a 'dont call the bride or groom!' on the wedding day if something goes wrong or if they have a question about something
