Wedding website registry problems

The issue I'm now having is that there are no bullet points or chain link logo. I cannot at all figure out how to upload a registry without using the wedding wire registry.

I had the same issue and changed it to the hyperlink format. All my guests were super confused by the WW registry "tool" and I kept getting calls and texts from my mom saying people couldn't find the registry information. I will say its very convoluted and inconvenient for both users and guests to require to use the WW registry tool if you want it stream lined and to have to do it the old fashioned way with the hyper link and uploading a photo is time consuming and requires an explanation blurb on the website.

It use to be you could upload the registry links directly on the website, which looked very nice and was easy for both users and guests visiting the website. I hope they change it back soon.

Hi Sara! You can hyperlink your Amazon registry link in our text editor. Just click on the pencil icon in the bottom right of that text section to edit the content, then highlight the Amazon registry link and click on the hyperlink icon in the top formatting pane.

If you like the way the images look, you can also add a "text + image" section to the registry page to add an image for the retailer's registry, and include hyperlinked text next to it!

Hi PBiazinha! Have the changes still not synced? Depending on the individual retailer, it can take up to 24-48 hours for all of the changes to sync.

It has been about a month and it is not updating. I end up deleting it since it was confusing the guests more than helping =(

The Knot just came out with a much more visually appealing option. I think we'll switch!

People are asking for the option to NOT use the Wedding Wire Registry. It even says in the details it takes a few hours to update, while the retailers registries update immediately. (It actually is months behind in my case.) Is there an option to NOT use the wedding wire registry?

Hi Lauren! Of course, you do not have to use WeddingWire's registry if you don't want to! Simply do not create a WeddingWire Registry, or do not add your WeddingWire Registry to your wedding website.

Instead you can add your individual registries by adding a text section to the registry page, then type out your registry and use the hyperlinking tool. You can also add a text + image section if you want to upload an image of the retailer:

I wish I hadn't just put our weddingwire website address on hundreds of dollars of invites before trying to put my second registry on. The Wedding Wire Registry for BB&B has items that I deleted months ago and only have of our Amazon items.

Mods: Can we have the option to have the old way of linking to our individual registries until the bugs from the Wedding Wire Registry get worked out, even if we can't have them permanently?

Hi Kathryn! I don't see an Amazon registry imported to your WeddingWire Registry - just Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond!

You can still add individual retail registries to your WeddingWire website and add a link or hyperlink for your guests to click on - just check out my pictures above and use the hyperlink tool in the toolbar of the text box!

Retail Registrie

Hi Lynnie!

That's odd, because when I check my settings for the wedding wire registry, I see the following, and the BB&B still hasn't updated since yesterday and contains items that I removed weeks ago (such as the KitchenAid that is >$100 less expensive on Amazon), so it looks like we're asking for two KitchenAids.

I wound up doing the following for the website, but it looks weird that the clickable link is on the left, not in the image, and it's not as nice looking or intuitive as the previous set up:

I understand the company's desire to make their own registry and I know I can't win against the corporation, but it's my two cents, and if I didn't already have a weddingwire.com website all over my save the dates and formal invites, I would probably opt for a different website provider over this.

In addition to the issues I'm seeing here I'm noticing that the website design tool won't register the Bed Bath and Beyond URL as valid. I assure you it is, which means I can't use the weddingwire registry tool to show my gifts. I've been using it with success linking to BB&B for months, periodically deleting and relinking to update what has been purchased. Now it won't register. And to add insult to injury, my wedding is less then 3 weeks away. Now is when I NEED it to work. I have hyperlinked the registries as well, but this is just absurd.

Hi Emilie! We are currently experiencing some issues with Bed Bath & Beyond registry URLs. Our Development Team is working hard to fix it but since your wedding date is quickly approaching (Congratulations!), it may be helpful to hyperlink the registry URL with the workaround steps below:

-Login to your WeddingWire account at www.weddingwire.com

-Hover over 'Planning Tools' on the top toolbar and click 'Wedding Website' from the drop down options

-Click the blue 'Edit Website' on the left panel of the screen

-Navigate to the 'Registry' page

-Click the blue 'Add Section' button

-Select 'Text'

-Paste your registry URL with the link button at the top of the text box

-Click the green check mark at the bottom, right corner of the box

Has anyone found more info and help on this? Too many of our guests are older and while they can manage to get on here if they so choose (we're including registry cards and rsvp cards with our invitations for ease) we put out website on the STD and now wish I hadn't. I can't figure out how to delete my wedding wire registry! just want to link the two stores and can't, nicely.

I'm so sorry for the inconvenience! While we work out the issue with Bed Bath & Beyond, I would recommend that you hyperlink your registry links within your wedding website text box instead! That way, your guests can click directly to your registry link from your wedding website.

I created added an image/text section for each registry. Each section a added the logo of the company we're registered at and with corresponding hyperlink in the text section. Added work, but it turns out a lot nicer than just adding hyperlink in the text section.

We are seeing the same issue with the registry! The Williams-Sonoma registry is linked and then it doesn't update to the Registry page. It has been visible for a week, and we've tried reloading a few times as suggested above. But after waiting 24+ hours, nothing from that Retailer is synced. We added a comment at the top of the Registry page to advise the Wedding Wire website may not be updated or listing all registry items. We received a response from Wedding Wire support, but they have not been able to resolve the issue.
