Wedding Website - wedding party

Chip, on May 8, 2017 at 1:27 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 32

Who all is having a page dedicated to their wedding party? What are you writing for them?

Are you keeping it simple with just their names, explaining the relationship, or writing stories? I'm kind of stuck on what to write.

I'm not. I feel like no one cares lol. If I were going to do it I'd keep it to just their names and relationship to you.

I just have names and a picture of each person, and their title in the wedding.

First make sure that they are ok with having their pictures in your website. That could cause a problem if you just pop a random pic of them. Keep it to their role in the wedding and maybe how you met.

Skipping it. our website is just info we didn't want to put on insert cards-- just directions to ceremony and reception sites and links to accommodations and registry.

I have a bridal party section on my website. I asked them to write their own bios. Some gave a picture and some didn't.

FH and I just wrote a small paragraph about each of them. It included how long we've known them, how we met, and a little something about our friendship.

A lot of people skip them, but I actually enjoy reading them.

I skipped it. I listed names and their titles. No one is reading that shit LOL. I know this because I can't tell you how many people have asked me about hotel info. IT'S ON THE WEBSITE.

We will put up a photo of them (with their permission of course!) and write a little paragraph. I know a lot of people say no one cares who is in your bridal party, but I really do! I feel like I get so much more out of weddings when I know who the people standing up there are.

We did it. I just kept it simple and stated how we knew the people and maybe a funny memory. I ended with how happy I was that the person was going to be part of our day. We added pictures too.

We don't have a wedding party, but if we did, I'd list only names and relationship to us, nothing more, and certainly not a picture.

Our wedding ceremony program is going to list only our parents, children and my grandkids, no siblings.

I didn't include our wedding party on our site. Like a few others on the thread, I honestly feel like no one cares. Just pretty much a waste of time/effort in creating your site. It's not any information they'll miss if excluded. If you would like to add their names and a photo - a bio isn't really needed. I honestly never read the wedding party information to the sites I've ever visited..I honestly don't care lol

I have a page for my wedding party. I have their pictures, name, how we met and love I love most about them.

Even if no one looks at it, my BM loved that I included them.

I just put names and where/how we met. I think the stories get a little weird or too inside-jokey. I like it when websites have at least basic info, but I'm just a nosy Nancy who likes knowing who the people in the wedding party are.

Our families and most of our friends hadn't met before our wedding so we did have a wedding party section of our website. We thought it would be nice for people to know a little more about our friends and siblings. We kept it short and simple and figured the worst that could happen was people wouldn't read it. I seem to be in the minority here but personally I do like reading these sections of wedding websites.
