It really depends what you want. A free basic option is withjoy.com which is user friendly on both ends. Wix.com and squarespace.com are good if you want to make your own, and they have free or low cost versions.

We decided against using a website based on experiences of family and friends who didn’t have good experiences with them. Several guests of ours actually thanked us for not having a website, but that is based on their past experiences. One friend used Zola and not only was it a nightmare for her with all of the services provided that didn’t live up to promises, but her guests who visited it had major issues. The majority of their guests, as well as other relatives who married around the same time, didn’t visit the wedding websites and didn’t get information via the invitation as a traditional details card or rsvp card, because they were not included in the regular packet and the couples were going by what modern online sources (social media, wedding magazine blogs, etc) suggested.

Not reading/visiting a website has nothing to do with age, contrary to online forums and wedding blogs insist. It actually has more to do with what is traditional/customary within your social circle and guests’ comfort level. Do they expect all information including details and rsvp in paper form (which companies exist that sell full sets for the price of one card minus envelopes at other companies) or not?

Be aware that not everyone who uses the internet utilizes QR codes, regardless of age. A number of younger people we know don’t use them at all and prefer an actual website or a paper copy of information.

We used The Knot, but we know other people who used Zola or Wedsites and that worked fine for them. Do not use Wedding Wire (this site) as the platform is full of technical issues. These forums are full of people who can't get their WW site to work.

Thanks for that input. I was creating one on this site but now I will do so elsewhere

You can actually make a QR code in this app & build your website!! I stumbled upon this feature when I logged into the website on my laptop. I also got save the date mock up samples sent in the mail for me. Wedding wire is awesome
