I can't type a response. My eyes are still glazed over, by this thread.

I admit, I'm laughing at the thoughts going through my head, imagining things like great aunt Gertrude doing a rap -

if it's at a bible camp them sounds like no alcohol is something that can't be helped. those are the rules.

from what I'm reading sounds like it's people that do the whole weekend bible camp retreat thing, where talent shows are pretty much mandatory.

this is probably the kind of thing that the couple does and is symbolic as them as a couple.

why do you have to go? is it someone from your husband's family? either way I hope you have fun. sounds like it will be a interesting weekend, even if it doesn't make the wedding pages of a bridal magazine.

wonder what David Tutera would say on all of this? Smiley smile

My question is are they Indian or throwing an Indian-esque wedding?? I know Indian wedding's have a so-called "talent show" where guests entertain the bride and groom (or am I so off right now? please correct me).

The dry wedding makes it so much worst though. Sorry. People will want drinks if they have to sit through a talent show, Indian or not.

@Jenja nope, not Indian.. just super pale Americans like myself haha.

@StitchingBride The groom is not family, but FH says we still have to go.. they grew up across the street from each other... they aren't even close... GAHHH.

You know, a friend of mine sent evites to a ton of people for her jewelry party she was having last weekend. No one came. I am thinking the same thing will happen with the auditions. If you ever hear why there is a no cell phone rule, I'd love to hear about it.

I say go, watch ceremony, eat, scram...before talent show. You don't want to be there when it starts to get rowdy Smiley winking

Oh my gosh. This sounds like every single person I went to college with. A Bible camp wedding with no cell phones and a talent show? It's just like youth group! Hahahaha. Seriously. Alcoholic bra. Wear it.

    Nicole:

no, can't be a youth group thing- I spent my entire adolescence in a youth group and trust me, there were beer runs and wine coolers! it just all happened after we wore the counselors out and they were sawing logs!
