A lot of Airbnbs aren't currently allowing any type of events because of Covid. Unfortunately, you may not be able to locate a Airbnb that will allow you to hot your wedding.

I looked into AirBnbs for our wedding and I would say 95% of places didn't allow weddings on site but a few did. Basically just look at the fine print. If it says “no events or parties,” rule it out immediately. If the caveat isn’t there, just send a message to the host and describe the event. I had quite a few invite me to book with them and were supportive of having the wedding there for a full wedding weekend. I will say though that my wedding is very small (10 guests plus us), so that helped with people letting us!

So the thing about the $100/head is that it includes a LOT more than the food.

Most of those costs are folding in alcohol, staffing, cutlery, linens, settings, rental space, kitchen space, etc, etc, etc, because that's all they do. Restaurants are open most days, and also offload the cost of staffing to tipping.

You CAN find caterer who are less than that, but then *you* have to provide tables, chairs, settings, linens, etc. That adds up, and in many places, costs more than $100/head when all is said and done.

(Also, $100/head is considered super affordable in many areas. We got married at the cheapest venue we had found, and it was $150/head. But we are in NYC.)

So, if you want a venue where you bring in your own caterer, make sure you check out the extra costs that are associated with it.

Airbnb no longer allows events. This was changed after a shooting at an Airbnb, before covid.

As others have said, AirBnB isn't allowing parties anymore. I'd look into a state park or something, but like Rebecca said, you're going to spend at least $100/person including food, tents, tables, etc.
