Hi guys ! My wedding is in 6 months and I am freaking out. I feel like i'm late on everything which I am. I don't know where to start exactly, I'm starting on too many projects at once and feel stresses out. Is there any tips that will help me be more organized because for sure bridezilla is coming out.

Make a list of absolutely everything you need to do between now and the wedding day. Even the small/menial stuff that you might not really think needs to be on the list, it does. Then order them based on priority; what needs to be done ASAP, by next month, by the month of, etc. Visualizing everything that needs to get done will give you a much better grasp on what you have left to do and when it needs to get done.

But don't stress! Our entire engagement is only 8 months long and I planned the majority of our wedding within the first two months of our engagement. Now it's just a bunch of little details I have to work on. Best of luck Smiley smile

First off- YOU GOT THIS! you can do it and the wedding will be great so take a deep breath.

Second- Like amber said, prioritize your list of to-dos and then make a timeline you can reasonably follow. Don't feel bad about asking for help from your wedding party too!

Set your priorities first. Then you can do each task one by one, in an organized manner.

    1. Budget

    2. Guest list (at least a rough draft/count)

    3. Venue

    4. Caterer (if it doesn't come with venue)

    5. Photographer

    6. DJ/Band

    7. Cake/Dessert vendor (if it doesn't come with venue or catering)

    8. Officiant

    9. Ladies' attire (including wedding dress)

    10. Mens' attire (including groom's suit/tux)

The reason I listed these in this particular order is because the vendors (#3-#8) need to be booked ASAP. Many of these vendors book up a year or more in advance. Since you are working on a short timeline, you'll want to get your date secured soon, and book your venue. Once you have that, you can book the other vendors. Just focus on one thing at a time, and don't forget to breathe! Good luck and happy planning!

My wedding planning was during a 5 month engagement, nothing started before. Had a dressy wedding with folks in evening clothes or tuxes, all that goes with it. I ordered a Maggie Sottero dress, first off, no trouble getting it in 6 weeks before the wedding. At 4 months out, a huge number of all vendors we're available. People who rush to book more than a year out , have a high rate of cancelling, changing date or moving it forward or back. We were able to get our favorite place on two of our favored weekends, a close second choice was open 2 Sat that month too. And many others. There was nothing where we really wanted a vendor or thing where it was unavailable in our general price range. Wedding planning, including some DIY, took 3 of my other brothers and sisters 3-5 months, the others 9-12. Those planned in a shorter time were not lacking anything. Those in a longer time were no more elaborate, or better executed. You have plenty of time.

My wedding is 6 months away also and I feel like I am behind! I have used the checklist on WeddingWire to kind of see where I am. Just make sure you have the big things all done: venue, food vendor, photographer, dress, DJ, and Florist. Then I started going through each thing and figuring out what we need. The rehearsal dinner, day of stuff, ceremony, reception. Don’t get overwhelmed!
