Hello Everyone!

My name is Brooke and my fiance's name is Steve. We set a date for our wedding 09/12/2020 and was wondering how far in advance we need to get insurance. We have to provide our own alcohol and the reception is at a firehall. Our wedding is in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on where to obtain the wedding/alcohol insurance and if they are the same thing?

I would start with the insurance agent you have your auto and homeowners or renters insurance through.

I found ours through progressive for about $125 for our August 2020 wedding.

I went though a website recommended to me on here (and I reviewed it, it is legitimate). My home owners insurance wanted $300 for my wedding and that was more than the cost of the alcohol, so I was going to have a dry reception but the website quoted me $125. I agree with pps though, check your current insurance first. If you want the website though, let me know.

I don't know if it changes based on states, we had to have ours no less than 30 days prior to the event date. we live in NY. i believe we paid $100 for 80-100 people.

I don't know about the wedding/alcohol insurance, but our wedding is one week after yours (9/19/2020) and just down the road in Bedford, PA.
