Weddings in Ireland

Wedding, on October 12, 2020 at 10:50 AM Posted in Planning 0 5

Hello all!

New to the forum. I've been looking around online for an all-inclusive destination wedding. I'm looking for something that can accommodate all of our guests (~30) for 3 nights or so, and include full wedding planning. I've found a few things in Italy where we can rent out villas and everything is included, but I'm having issues finding anything in Ireland.

I'm coming to forums to see if anyone perhaps knows the answer to my question. Is there website, planner, etc. in Ireland that can help with an all-inclusive wedding, including full accommodations for our guests?

Thank you!

Is similar to wedding wire and you can find vendors through the site. You are probably aware that there is a 14 day quarantine in place, but obviously this could change by your wedding year.

Hi there! I went to an incredible wedding at Dromoland Castle last summer that checks all your boxes!!

Any hotel, resort, or castle with accommodations would be a good place to check out and see if they also do weddings!

    Hi all,

I have a €500 voucher for Castle Leslie that I'm willing to sell at a reduced price. If anyone getting married in Castle Leslie and wants their guests to save money message me.

    Thanks

    Hi Everyone,

I would NOT suggest booking your Ireland wedding at The Borris House, Borris, Ireland. When I got engaged, my parents offered to put down a non-refundable deposit of 2,000 Euro. Very soon after Covid hit and Ireland closed its doors to all visitors. Pubs were closed and people were confided to small areas around their homes. My mother contacted Borris House and rescheduled the wedding, but when the rescheduled date arrived, Ireland was still closed. At this point my mother spoke to the owner, Morgan Kavanagh, and requested a refund of the 2,000 Euro down payment. She pressed the point that WE did not withdraw. The country closed its doors to us due to Covid. Morgan refused to return the downpayment. My mother then said, “how about we split the money. 1,000 Euro each.” Again he refused. He told my mother, “to just take it on the chin.” Beware of dealing with a man whose sense of entitlement engendered such disrespect and lack of professionalism.
