Weddingwire Website Registry

Jillian, on March 24, 2018 at 12:33 AM Posted in Registry 0 7

I'm trying to add another registry link to my WeddingWire wedding website, but it will only let me add to the new WeddingWire Registry. I want my guests to be able to click on the link and take them to the store's website like it used to. Anyone know how to get the new link on the website?

I'd ask Lynnie or Laura about it. They are both awesome Wedding Wire Administrators. Best wishes!!

I contacted tech support and was basically told that this is how it works now. You have to link them to the WW registry which you put in your website. It creates a click through page and when that page loads guests can then click on the individual registries.

It’s overly complicated and confusing. I have already had to post how to instructions on my website since guests where emailin me asking where my registry was. I had mentioned this to tech support and said it was better/easier for guests when you could load the links individually directly on the website like you use too.

If my guests had not already received STDs we would have picked something else like Thw knot to avoid this. It’s really convoluted.

Hopefully a mod can give some insight. But tech basically told me this is how it works

How frustrating. It's annoying because I already have 2 on there and am just trying to add other one. Maybe I'll just add a text link or something. The WeddingWire registry is glitching out horribly too. I keep clicking "make it visible" and it returns to the way it was before or I try to "view as guest" and it does nothing. It is also telling me some items are unavailable but when I go to the registry at that store, it says they are fine.

I'll contact tech support too, maybe if enough people complain they'll see something isn't working.

I just told my guests to click through directly to the registies and not to bother with that page at all. It’s super glitchy and doesn’t update fast. I noticed on my BBB registry some items had been purchased but the WW registery doesn’t reflect that. Also not all my items from Amazon uploaded (only three out of 25 did)

its very frustrating and I really do wish I could switch it but oh well.

Hey Jillian! If you don't want to use the WeddingWire Registry tool but still want to share your registries on your wedding website, you are able to skip the tool and create links directly to your registries. To do so, log in to your WeddingWire account; hover over 'Planning Tools' and select 'Wedding Website'; click 'Edit Website'; go to your Registry page and click '+Add Section to Page'; select to add a Text+Image box; paste your Registry URL into the text box and hyperlink it; find the company's logo online and add it as the image. Then save your changes and you're done!

Hi, sorry to dig up an old thread, but I cannot figure out how to do what Jo said to do to add an existing, separate registry onto my Wedding Wire registry website.

When I go to to my Registry page, it only gives me the option to set up a new WeddingWire registry, and I do not see where I can "add a new section to the page". Does anyone have any tips on how to do this?

    Thanks in advance!
