WedSocial: Our NEW Guest Photo Sharing App!

WWLauren, on March 3, 2014 at 3:47 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 11

I'm really pumped to tell all of you about WedSocial, an app designed to make it super simple for your guests to share photos they've taken at your wedding and other wedding events!

WedSocial is linked directly to your WeddingWire account and is a application your guests can download for your wedding. They can then take photos and share them with you on the spot! You can even dedicate an entire page of your wedding website to be a feed of all of these photos!

To try out WedSocial, download it in the App Store HERE!!

*You can manage your WedSocial settings through your WeddingWire Wedding Website Dashboard

This sounds cool. But would wedding guests have access to your WW profile and forum posts? Or just the app if they choose to download it?

@Laudie-- yep! It's similar to WedPics

@Talayia-- your guests will not have access to your WW profile, forum posts etc from the WedSocial app (however, please remember that our forum posts are public and Google indexed).

The app will be a separate entity your guests download just to take pictures on your wedding day. You can also choose to share the photo feed on your wedding website, but again, WedSocial is completely separate from your WW profile, etc.

Will there be an upload photo option? seems like it forces you to use the in app camera currently? also no options to delete or modify photos...

I second Katie's comment. Without an upload capability, I don't see this as a feasible option. It's great that it's so seamlessly integrated with our WeddingWire website but I think a lot of upgrades are needed to make it a competitive option to WedPics.

I am looking to answers about some questions that I have regarding WedSocial. Is there a cost? Does every user have to pay for it? What about uploading the photos to the website?

Does the Wed Social app still exist? I can't find it in the Google Play store.

    Thanks,

    Karen
