Weight gain - 2 weeks before the wedding

Cassandra, on October 3, 2018 at 10:59 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 7
So my metabolism has been wonky lately. Well my wedding is 10/20 and I jumped on the scale and I’m about 6lbs heavier than my final fitting.

So im on the elliptical as we speak, but I’m worried I won’t be down the 6lbs I’m needed.

Would it be okay if I am off a pound or two?

Of course I’m going to work my butt to lose it, but just in case, has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks!!

Unless you swing like 10 lbs or more, I think you'll be fine lol. Honestly, a fluctuation of 6lbs can be due to stress and your body just holding water. Just be mindful of how you fuel yourself, don't overdo it on the workouts (it can actually cause you to hold water if you overstress your body on top of the stress you already have!) and make sure to get enough sleep. 10/19 bride here, and my weight fluctuates around 6lbs up and down almost daily!

Relax, you got this. You'll be fine Smiley smile You may feel like you're looking squeezed into the dress, but as long as it zips/fits - no one else will notice. Water, rest, good quality food and enjoy the final countdown Smiley smile

I wouldn't stress to much. Your weight fluctuates between 5 pounds throughout the day and is dependent on many factors (what you ate, drank, portion size, time of the month etc.) Best advice, drink lots of water, eat small bites throughout the day to boost your metabolism ( healthy and clean snacks that are full of whole grains, produce, nuts, lean proteins etc. ), don't eat past 6:00 PM and do lots of walking. Also, make sure you are getting at least 8 hours of sleep. Again, try not to stress. Hope this helps. Smiley smile

Yeah, dont sweat the numbers, they’re just numbers. Sweat the physical changes, like pants not zipping. 6 pounds doesn’t necessarily mean an physical change in your body. You also have plenty of time to just eat smart without goin g crazy. Don’t over stress, and don’t over exercise . Just eat mindfully and ignore the scale!

When my fiance and I went vegetarian, he lost 20 lbs and I gained 10. I'm going with a Korean hanbok (which is designed like an empire waist dress). That cuts out all weight issues since it doesn't show my belly.

Don’t stress about it! I actually ended up losing too much weight and I had to put my strapless dress up all night. Pain in the butt!!! 6lbs isn’t a huge deal and I wouldn’t try and be miserable the next two weeks to lose weight. Eat healthy, drink water, exercise, you’ll be fine. I promise!! I know it’s scary, been there. But it isn’t as bad as you think. You can lose 1-3lbs and you’ll still be fine, I don’t think 6lbs is a big deal either. Our body weight fluctuates all the time. I just wouldn’t gain anymore . Good luck, don’t stress, be happy. Let me tell you, the night goes by so quickly. It’s been six months since my wedding!! I miss it. Enjoy yourself and this moment. 💙💙
