How much weight does it look like I’ll need to lose to have this dress zip up??? Hahaha

Hi Bethany! I am actually having coffee with a good friend of mine who is a clothing designer, and showed her your post. She said with the way the dress is laying it’s hard to guesstimate. But, based on the photo alone, it looks as though the dress is 2-3 sizes too small. Typically it takes around a 15 lb weight loss to drop a size. So you’re looking at approximately 30-45 pounds to lose in order to zip the dress. Hope this helps!

That looks like multiple dress sizes - have you considered converting the back to a corset instead of a zipper? That will take a little bit of the pressure off, in addition to being a very beautiful look!

Hi Bethany!! Like Ava said it's hard to tell from that picture, but you'd want to measure how many inches of gap there is to close the zipper. I think Stacey's idea of adding a corset back is a great solution that would allow for flexibility with any amount of weight change! Smiley heart
