Exercise, Eat healthy 5 times a day. Stay away from sugar and salt. Don't eat after 7pm.

Clean eating is a key factor in losing weight. Cut out all the processed garbage. I have a friend who was mid-weight loss journey and had an ectopic pregnancy and had emergency surgery. She still had 25lbs to lose but was banned from exercise bc of the surgery for at least 6 weeks. She ate 5-6 small, CLEAN meals every day. She was able to get down 15lbs from her pre-surgery weight before she was given the ok to exercise again (8weeks later).

    Planning meals is key!

Do you drink soda? If so, that's the first thing to cut out. I lost about 10lbs doing nothing but cutting out soda.

Eat less, move more. It's pretty simple.

Diet and exercise. I had a baby 6mo ago and desperately needed to lose all the weight I gained and then some. I joined weight watchers and it's been working very well. I've lost 14 lbs in my first month.

If that's not for you, I would definitely just do diet and exercise. Maybe keep a food log. Just remember that losing weight is more about your diet and the food/nutrients/calories you consume than working out. Good luck to you! No matter what you'll be beautiful on your wedding day!! :-)

My family and I have been doing Whole30, its a pretty good weight loss tool (even though its not geared towards that) and if you keep it up pretty well for 3-4 months it really works! My mom lost 15 pounds in the first 2 months and then kept going. No exercise either! I am hoping to lose closer to 40 pounds by sticking to it for awhileSmiley smile

It's not a lot but in 2.5 weeks I've lost 3lbs by working out and tracking my calories on my Fitbit app. Small but making progress!

I used 21 day fix. Taught me how to eat healthier without depriving myself. I was still eating cheeseburgers at home on it even! I can't think of an you other diet that allows you to do that. It really isn't a diet though, it's more of a lifestyle change. I still follow it even though I am no longer being strict about it. My body changed becuase of it for the better. Lost 25 lbs and even 5 inches in my waist (plus more elsewhere). It was a great feeling to be swimming in my dress at my first appointment. Yeah it was an expensive alteration but I did it in a good way. I would suggest any fads since those are mainly crash diets and terrible for your body and could end up gaining more later or not having it work at all.

Download LoseIt. It's an app that helps you count calories. I've lost 6lbs my FH as lost close to 15! (We have our weight loss set at different rates..he wants to lose fast, I'm going for slow and steady!)

You put in your height, current weight, goal weight, and how fast you want to lose it. Then it gives you a calorie allowance for the day. You can eat whatever you want as long as you track your calories and stay under the allowance!

Exercise and eating less. Pack healthy snacks so you don't opt to chips, candy. Try meal prep if you have an hour to spare, it is actually cheaper than eating out. FH does chicken, veggies and brown rice twice a day. It's super cheaper since your buying chicken by the pound.

Download MyFitnessPal and track what you eat. Track everything that passes your lips - my other half has lost over 20kg doing this whilst not being able to exercise.

Eat lots of protein because it'll keep you fuller for longer than carbs.

Remember that fat isn't bad - lots of low fat foods replace the fat with sugar (carbs) so you're actually better off getting the normal version. There are exceptions to this so check the labels.

Make exercises with dumbbell for getting sleek, toned arms and shoulders

Good luck - and allow yourself a bit of what you want!

    Low carbs, food substitutions:

instead of pop drink water, instead of chips maybe do nuts (without dried fruit), instead of candy do fruit. Also meal plan. It'll help resist the urge to eat out and save some money. Find someone to do it with you that will keep you accountable. If you can, try ways to take more steps (stairs instead of elevators or escalators, maybe park a little further than usual, take the long hallway to your office, etc). If you REALLY want to keep down wait (and save money) provided you have the time to do so, take public transit and power walk to work. When I was in college I didn't have a car, and I valued sleep and the snooze button more than I should have, so I was always power walking about 4-5 blocks everyday. Helped me keep from gaining any extra weight.

Figure out what your weaknesses are, as everyone is different. Some people have enough willpower to quit 'bad' foods cold turkey, others (like myself) do best by keeping little to no 'bad' food within reach. If you're used to drinking soda, cutting that out is a jump start (as well as booze and as much refined sugar as possible).

I'm also a big note/list taker, so to be able to see my numbers is helpful. There's tons of fitness websites and apps you can utilize to watch your calorie intake vs burn (my favorite is Fatsecret.com because its free to use and they have a food database that is constantly updated by their users).
