Weight loss is a numbers game: calories in vs calories out. You need expend more calories than you take in to create a calorie deficit. The deficit can be accomplished by limiting food intake, increasing exercise, or both. There are tons of free apps online like MyFitnessPal, SparkPeople, etc that can help you track everything. Healthy weight loss is usually 1-2 pounds a week.

You'll need to start counting calories and exercising more if you want to lose 10-15 lbs in 8 weeks. Try a calorie calculator like this: https://www.calculators.org/health/weight-loss.php

I also like this list of low-calorie foods that are more filling: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/low-calorie-foods

Intermittent Fasting worked for me and it wasn't for my wedding or fitting into dress. Just needed to shake things up with my body. Eat clean and ditch processed drinks/foods.

I recommend cutting carbs, so with less carbs your body burns fat instead. I’m on a modified Atkins diet (which is very similar to keto) by my neurologist and I’ve lost about 40 lbs since April and that’s not even including working out (which I really need to get better at). I recommend using an app to track your daily food intake to better get a handle on what you eat and how you can change it.

Intermittent fasting has been very beneficial for me.. especially regarding water weight! I also track my calories (stay under 1200 every day) using MyFitnessPal and watch my carb intake.

Keto will do it fast... I always suggest paleo for long term. Also, I use cronometer (phone app) for calories. I've lost 3lbs in 2 wks. I'm only trying for about 6 more lbs, but I've always been into fitness/nutrition. You gotta work out, too. Higher muscle percentage burns more fat. Totally doable in 2 weeks.

More protein, less carbs, lots of water and exercise. If you don’t exercise regularly try walking and aim for at least 10,000 steps a day. Good luck!

I agree with calories in, calories out. That's what I'm doing right now, because I needed to trim a few inches off just for every day life, but especially since my dress is currently skin-tight on me and has NO give. It gets easier and even fun like a game with time! I like to use 4-5 different calorie calculators to see what they suggest I need to eat per day to lose weight, and then I average it all out and go with that number. It'll ask you how much exercise you're doing, some ask your job, most or all ask your gender and age. They all obviously ask your weight.

Good luck! You can do it!

Intermittent fasting is helpful and journaling what you eat so you know calories (plus you are less likely to eat bad if you have to write it down). We do meal prepping and short at home workouts to get some calories burned

I second the intermittent fasting. I am getting married in May 2020 and am currently trying to lose much more than 10-15 and fasting works for me. There's an app, Life Fasting, that will help track your fasting. I started by doing a 16 hour fast which just means I skip breakfast and only eat lunch and dinner. I still watch what I eat for lunch and dinner, but as long as I don't eat over 1300 calories it's fine.

Yes I used My fitness pal. Working out is good for you but trying to lose weight is what you eat and how much of it. Find out which plan you could do . Everything really is about portion control and creating a calorie deficit. I would say aim to lose 1.5 to 2 pounds every week. I limit my bread and sugars and alcohol. You would be surprised how fast it goes once you cut out those things or lower them.
