I followed weight watchers. It's practical and easy to follow. You don't have to buy their food but it motivates you to make better choices when you know you are going to weigh in each week. It's like your paying to keep you accountable but you'll only be doing it for a month and a half.

I'm 50 days out myself. Good luck, you can do it!

With 42 days out you should avoid excess salt (sodium), skip the sugar and carbs all together. Get plenty of protein and workout if you can. Drink lots of water. Meal prep. Protein/veggies thats about as good as you can do without harming yourself with some crash diet. I also imagine with 42 days out you are already fitted for your dress. Doing the above will probably help you not gain any water weight or extra pounds but probably not drop a size.

All this! Maybe do Whole 30 to detox and ensure you’re not bloated! I definitely think I’m going to avoid alcohol and sugar the month before my wedding.

42 days out, I wouldn't be trying to lose weight. Aren't you already in dress fittings?

If your dress has already been fitted, why would you lose weight? This time of year, seamstresses will be overwhelmed with alterations and you might not be able to find someone to take it in if needed.

Edit: sorry y’all I should have been more specific. My dress is actually too tight so I am trying to lose some more weight before the wedding! I’m currently having the zipper back altered into a corset back by a sweet lady at my church! Sorry for the confusion!

You can try intermittent fasting! Im currently doing it because I'm a college student and wedding planning and I also work so it's hard for me to find times to work out! Intermittent fasting sounds scary, but its actually not. It's where you get 8 consecutive hours to eat, and then you "fast" for 16 hours, which most of your sleeping. Like my typical day is "skipping" breakfast and eating around 10:30-11:30 depending on when I get home from work or school. Then I watch my processed sugar and carb intake, but basically eat 3 healthy meals and maybe some healthy snacks until 6:30-7:30 depending on when I started eating and then repeat. Drink LOTS of water between and during eating times and you will lose alot of water weight and helps with bloating! You wont lose any miracle amount of weight. However, if you add exercise with this then you will probably lose a decent amount. But make sure not to lose too much if you already have your dress fitted!!

Thanks for this! I’ve heard of this but was kind of scared to try it because I wasn’t sure if it would be healthy for my body! I didn’t want to add any extra stresses like doing some sort of damage to my body for fasting for that long

I’m always trying to watch what I eat and lose weight but you do want to be careful this close to your wedding! I was totally planning on stopping trying to lose weight and maintaining when I started my dress fittings. But I’ve lost 45 pounds this year and knew I was going to need a smaller size so I ordered a smaller size and now that I’ve started my dress fittings I know where I need to be. I know that I can continue to cut carbs and sugar to avoid water weight and keep my inches down but I know I can’t afford to drop a size and risk them not getting done in time! So just judge it based on the dress and remember you’re beautiful and your SO loves you no matter what size your dress is 🤗

Hello. I’m currently 57ish days out. I started trying to lose weight at the beginning of the year. So far I’ve lost 16.5 lbs. My fiancé and I have both been counting macros with an emphasis on high protein. We use MyFitnessPal to track our food. It has been great and does not feel like a diet at all. I only have about 7 lbs to go and I think I can easily meet my goal and then some. Sadly I do have to have my dress majorly altered because of the weight loss but to me it’s worth it to get married in the best shape of my life

That doesn't leave you much room for error, but 42 days is totally doable. If you aren't already, start counting calories using an app like https://www.myfitnesspal.com/. Cut out all empty calories from junk foods and sugary drinks, and eat as healthily as you can stand. In a similar vein, using an app to making sure you're drinking enough water (about a gallon per day) will also make a huge difference. Being properly hydrated can really help curb your appetite!

As for exercise, I'm a big fan of Beachbody workouts. Their 21 Day fix program would likely be a good fit for your current goals. If you take them up the free trial they offer for their VOD service you can give it a try for free. They've also got a ton of free exercises and resources on their blog. This six chapter guide has some really solid advice for getting in shape: https://www.beachbodyondemand.com/blog/guide-weight-loss-workouts

    Good luck!

Meal prepping and lots of water. Meal prep lots of healthy low calorie/low carb breakfast and lunches and make sure you are getting enough water because that will help with water retention.

I do the Whole 30 diet every 90 days. It definitely helps get my body back on track.

I've been doing Keto and IF since February and have lost 22.7 lbs. Going to keep this up until my wedding in October. I am totally adjusted to both now but struggled a bit in the beginning.

I am hoping to lose 40 more lbs by my wedding as I want to feel comfortable only my special day.

I have 90 days to go and I am feeling the pressure. Everyone has given me amazing advice and great diets to follow, but they have to work for you! Your biggest thing is to drink water and try to walk or workout 30 minutes three times a week.
