Hi everyone,

I got a brand new size 12 dress heavily discounted (real steal price) but I started as a size 16. Thought it would be easy to lose 2 dress sizes in 3 months. I am 5 1/2 weeks out and starting to freak out a bit..

I've been heavy lifting 5x a week and doing HIIT/or a workout video daily (e.g. 30 Day Shred, JM app, Fitnessblender) since March, added 1 hr of walking daily since last week. Eating a ketogenic diet, drinking lots of water, losing about 1lb a week regardless of reducing caloric intake and increasing exercise further.

I'm wondering if there are any brides who are working out and getting married in June/July? tips or inspiration?

OMG!!! What great progress in 2 months!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Great job!!! You have a few weeks left and I’m sure you can do it. If you don’t mind... how much weight was lost between picture 1 and picture 3? I’d love to see the end result. Best wishes!!!

I would guess if you’re lifting you might be adding a little bulk. You’re doing great but to lose a significant amount in 5 1/2 weeks will take something dramatic. I say that because I did it. I lost 20 pounds in 30 days on a program called Be Balanced. It’s not cheap and not easy but it worked and I’ve kept it off. Otherwise I would say to do more cardio and less lifting and stick with the Keto diet. And talk to a seamstress to find out how late you can wait to make any alterations. Good luck.

Amazing progress and beautiful dress! I know you mentioned you're ready to wrap up this topic, but I wanted to add that adding at least a 12 hour fast to your 24 hour day (finish eating by 7pm, don't eat again until 7am) can do wonders for your body and any bloating. Also stay away from even "healthy" foods that cause bloat (beans, onions, apples, lentils, broccoli, cauliflower, garlic). Since bloating caused by one meal can last a few days, reducing intake of these foods closer to the wedding will help give you a more accurate assessment of where your weight loss is actually at. Good luck!! You look great already so it seems like you're really in the final stretch!
