So I realised I had got into bad shape because of my diet. I'm doing a programme called Slimming World. But it's really all about making sure you have your fruit and veg with each meal, and your snacking on fruit and veg too. I've cut a lot of fat and sugar out of my diet and whenever I do eat something naughty I 'syn' it (a slimming world term). For example, I am allowed 15 syns a day, and a small chocolate bar is 12, and a low calorie hot chocolate is 2.5.

But I haven't always stuck to the 15 syns a day thing. I've been sticking to more fruit and veg, no fat and no sugar. I've lost a stone in 2 and a bit months.

Alongside this I have been working out. Spinning classes are my favourite! I've also been doing some ab training too so hopefully I'll look good in a swimsuit on my honeymoon haha!

Fill up on fruit, veg and very low calorie foods, before eating something bad!

I have a very busy schedule.. so i have simply been focusing on cutting certain foods out of my diet and trying to reach 10,000 steps a day. I am not trying to looks a lot of weight, just a little extra fat so this has been working just fine for me!

I was hoping to, but just broke my ankle badly and will have to be completely non weight bearing for 3 months and then a slow recovery after that. So I’m not sure how it will work yet.

I am! I lost a lot of weight when I was younger and just kinda gained it all back but I'm going back to my old diet and exercise routines and hope for the best. I was even thinking of grouponing a session or 2 of the fat freezing procedures. I figured they can't hurt.

I workout 3-5 times per week and meal prep all of my snacks/lunches/dinners to avoid temptation of eating out. Plus, meal prepping makes it easier to track calories. Diet is 80% of the challenge to losing weight. I've found that tracking calories through the fitbit app or myfitnesspal worked best!

I started doing intermittent fasting 2/28 and I'm down 12 lbs as of this morning. I dont eat between 8pm and noon then I try to keep my calories at 1600 for that 8 hour period of eating. I still have some sweets here and there an I'm still doing well. Smiley laugh

Probably not. You need to eat the highest percentage of fat , then protein, then carbs being the lowest percent.

I eat alot of avocado based things like salad dressing and I even found a low carb dip with an avocado base that I use celery sticks to dip in .

I eat things in coconut oil to up my fat level as well as grass fed butter. I take slim fast keto bars on the go and slim fast keto bombs for my sweet tooth fix.

I snack on cheese, almonds and deviled eggs. Slim fast also has a mct oil that you can add to liquids , to get your fat it is tasteless.

    Good luck!

I'm getting married in june so I'm trying to get fit for my big day. I'm cutting back on fast food drinking more water less pop. I've been cooking healthy home cooked meals, I'm getting my workout done about 3-4 days a week including cardio.

Finally got my thyroid disorder under control with diet and organic supplements, eat 1200 cals a day, eat between 6am-6pm only, special workout plan from FH's brother (who is a conditioning coach for pro athletes). I also added a CLA supplement from Amazon and I think that's been REALLY helpful. So far so good! Somewhat worried I'll hit my weight loss goal and my dress will fall off.. Smiley atonished

I've cut back on my carbs, and drink only water. I also do intermittent fasting 20/4 M-F with 1500 calories, then weekends I eat whatever I want. I've lost 17 pounds in about 2 months. Good luck!! You can do it! (:

Forgot to say - that before this I was pretty healthy at baseline; FH and I only eat organic, non-GMO, low carb, low sugar, nothing processed ever, and we almost always cook at home. I also have a very active job and walk about 1.5 miles daily in my commute. But because I only recently got my thyroid condition under control, I was stuck at a really high weight and it wouldn't budge. Now that I've got the right mix of supplements, I'm starting g to drop weight- just in time! Wedding is less than 90 days away...

Stephanie I'm so sorry! Will the doctor improve anything low impact, like swimming? I've seen "orthopedic modifications" to some workouts, so they mostly become seated/ floor based, with everything kept off that one foot.

My wedding is a little over a year away. I’m going for healthy weight loss/lifestyle. I want to look and feel better. I’ve been counting calories and working out 3-4 times a week. Increasing water intake. Crash diets aren’t sustainable and most likely will gain the weight back
