So I'm sort of a big girl. I get teased by family and my love's family. While he does tell them something it doesn't mean I don't want to prove them wrong. So I started counting calories and got a job at a warehouse so that I'm constantly moving. The first 3 weeks I lost 10 lbs but now I've stopped...
So I'm sort of a big girl. I get teased by family and my love's family. While he does tell them something it doesn't mean I don't want to prove them wrong. So I started counting calories and got a job at a warehouse so that I'm constantly moving. The first 3 weeks I lost 10 lbs but now I've stopped losing weight and it's been 3 months already. My best friend and I picked a dress that really will show my success and I need to wear that dress and I also want to be healthy. I need help please someone tell me what to do.

There are calculators online you can use to do this, but what you really need to do is figure out what your maintenance calories are. This is what you need to eat in order to stay the same. Once you have that figured out you can adjust your calories accordingly. If you're in a deficit, you will lose weight. I'm not sure what you've changed about your diet so far, but if you cut out carbs the weight loss you've experienced is most likely water weight. As others have said, it's best to weigh and log your meals so you know exactly what you're consuming. I would also recommend adding in some extra activity in the form of strength training. The more muscle you have the more calories you will burn on a daily basis and you will look nice and toned (not bulky) 😊

Wow thank you for telling me this. I thought it was just as simple as counting calories and burning them I didn't take into account the amount of calories I needed to eat and try to burn in order for something to happen.

Thank you so much. I'm going to get a gym membership and do some strength training because I've mostly been doing cardio so I think you may be on to something lol

You can even use plain cheerioes and mix it wiht half a scoop of protein powder. Get moving...diet is HUGE but working out 5-6 days a week is also needed for results. Mix it up with cardio and strength training. Consistency is key. Best of luck.

I would recommend not going cold turkey on anything as you might cave in later. For example, give up all sweets and sugars - you might gorge later down the road. You have to increase activity now that your body is trying to settle in on that baseline after you lost the 10lbs. My best friend went vegetarian and lost 30 lbs within the year and has kept it off and feels great. I’m vegan, but don’t recommend off the bat lol but maybe eventually! I haven’t fluctuated more than a pound or two in the last couple of years.
Best wishes and you got this!! 🤍

I am in the same boat. While my family or his don't say anything about my weight, my fiancé and his family are all very fit. I don't want go overboard with the craziness of weight loss but I want certain body parts to look better, namely my stomach and arms. I understand the struggle. Drinking a lot of water is the key to that. Try drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day, but a gallon could help a lot too. Also give yourself one day a week to cheat otherwise your body wont see any changes. A few small workouts a weeks will help too. Cardio, but you should only need about 20 minutes. As for the food again, restrictions on sugar is my biggest problem. But that is what is needed. I hope you get to where you need and have the most wonderful wedding!!!

Yeah, you need to burn more than you take in to create a calorie deficit, which then leads to weight loss. We burn a certain number of calories from just existing, and then exercise boosts that.
