    I'm also top heavy, DD.

    5'2

    137 lbs

    Size 10P

I'm hoping to loose 20 pounds, before I purchase my dress, so maybe a size 6P at the end?

Denee, just keep going to the gym, and eat healthy, keep it to water, and no carbs. You should be able to loose a few inches that way.

I'm 5'4 and last time I checked which was a long time ago, I weighed in the 160s :-/ I have big hips and a big butt and thighs lol. Boobs are small though, only 36B. My dress is a 10 and I got it at David's Bridal. It fit perfectly and the only alterations I needed were the hem and bustle. It was however a fairly new sample dress and they just cleaned it for me when I bought it. Don't know if that makes a difference. I wear a size 14 in jeans I believe. I used to be 10/11 depending on if it was juniors or women's. So now I'm a 13 in juniors and a 14 in women's. Or is it the other way around? I always get them confused on if women's or juniors is the odd or even numbers lol

Thanks,I really eat pretty healthy 95% of the time.

FH and I usually escape the kids 2x a month to go out to dinner, but I select the lowest cal/healthiest choices.

I drink nothing but water and I drink tons of it.

I'm hoping I have enough 'back fat' to lose to get the dress zipped! lol

    Juniors is odds lol.

I just hate it when clothes seem to be made for a certain body type....Everyones body is shaped differently.

I am 5'4 160 lbs I got my dress in a 16 but I have lost 20lbs since the deployment so I hope I can have it altered and not have to get a new dress I am not sure if we can alter it. The lady said that we can only take it in two sizes. I am scared about the whole thing.

Depends on the neckline of the dress because I'm very top heavy (34DD) but I have a 26" waist. Anywhere from a 0-8 lol, I know right. If it's a side zipper than a 0-4, back zipper 4-8.

I am 5'2", 127lbs., and when I went to DB's I was a size 6 on zip-up gowns (when I was wearing that STUPID BULKY bra they give you which ADDS A WHOLE SIZE) and size 4 on corset backs.

Also, you have to consider... the bra/sucker inner they give you is hecka thick! It added a whole size to my middle section/boobs. No JOKE. So, without that stupid bra and just a regular strapless bra/slip combo from spanks, I'm a size 4 for both.

I am 5'3" .. and about 210. I teeter but used to weigh over 250. My dress is a 16W from DB. I was in a 14W but unfortunately, it just didn't work out. After the wedding it's back to double timing it at the gym, my goal weight before next summer is 175. We plan to go to Disney in Florida and I wonna wear a 2 piece @ the beach.

I think juniors vs. misses vs. petites sizes go a bit like this:

Misses are cut for hourglass types.

Petites are often simply misses sizes with an inch or so taken off the length.

Junior sizes are cut for slimmer boobs/hips (since they're usually for high school girls who haven't filled out yet).

I'm petite, but petite clothes usually read boxy on me (they're cut for curves that I don't have - I'm more up and down with a bit of a belly). So I buy junior's clothes and take a little off the length if I need to.

@Denee- samples never fit the same way the real dress does. They are stretched out from people trying them on and probaly have lost some of their form. So don't stress that you are gaining, you aren't! It's just not "broken in" Smiley winking

Wedding dress sizes are SO far off from reality anyhow.

I'm 5'9", 150, size 10. (My wedding dress was like a 16 and some models they would have ordered me like a size 20! Go figure!)
