Weights for mason jar centerpieces

I have been busting my butt making paper flowers for our centerpieces. I am getting close to finishing, and now I need to figure out how to arrange them. I am planning to put them in mason jars (I already own a ton of them) and tying a ribbon around the top. However, I am really worried about them falling over. Does anyone have any ideas about what I could use to weight them down? Whatever I use will be seen, so it has to be pretty. I thought about those colored glass pebbles, but they seem to be so expensive.

What if you get some smaller, pretty rocks from Michael's. Because they!re not colored they might be a little cheaper.

The luster gems from dollar tree are perfect. I had no idea that 1) dollar tree sold them or 2) you can order from dollar tree online. Thanks for the tip!

Sterilized sand from home improvement store? Will anchor the stems and provide weight.

What about sand? I think you can buy colored sand too nowadays.
