What's something that you and your FH decided to do for your wedding that some of your family members or friends might have thought was weird or goofy. We decided on Chick-Fil-A catering for our wedding and my mom thought we were crazy when we told her. "Wedding food is supposed to be nice and something that everyone will love to chow down on" and I responded with "Who doesn't want to chow down on waffle fries and chicken sandwiches, mom?" It's also saving us tons of money on food! It might be goofy or weird to not have the traditional steak and chicken options but oh well!

Its a very delicious thing! I'm just not paying for 200+ people to eat it because she thinks it's the only thing the will "class" up the mac and cheese.

We are doing a taco and fajita bar so that threw a lot of people off and then we aren't doing cake either we are doing a custom donut bar.

We're having tacos, too. Our venue is a bar/restaurant. The food is very heavy bar food.

I’m pretty sure my mom has thought I’m crazy on almost every decision I’ve made so far LOL We are having a DW that requires all guests to fly. I am looking for a black wedding dress. We are not having a wedding cake (opting instead for creole bread pudding and a bananas foster station). And I will be having a man of honor instead of a maid of honor- who is my best friend, but also happens to be my ex of five years.

I am having my FH grooms cake be his 40th birthday cake and we will be singing to him at our reception. He turns 40 6 days prior to our wedding. My 13 year old son is walking me down the aisle instead of my dad. (My stepmom was not happy about this) I have half of my wedding party under the age of 13 so that is different. Oh and we are having ice cream served with cake!

I'm excited about it honestly. We have a full bar set up for tacos so meat choices rice and toppings, then one set up for fajitas with sides and toppings then on a different table we will have the donut bar with all the icings, toppings and sauces!

We want all origami decorations and his mom had a chuckle when she found out. Real flowers irritate him, and it would make a cool DIY look... at least my mom is on board.

We decided to do a local reception (Sacramento) before our destination wedding, (Jamaica), to accommodate his family that wont be going to the wedding. I didn't want to have to think about anything else once we get back from Jamaica, just live our lives.

Instead of having regular table numbers, we're doing cartoon characters. I saw this idea of Wedding Wire and loved it! A Calvin and Hobbes table, Linus table, Snoopy table, etc.

Ive had two friends that are kind of upset I'm not having a photo booth. They both mentioned the last weddings they went to had them and they're so much fun. Well, I don't want to pay $800 + for a photobooth.
And i love chick fil a. I was thinking of ordering lunch from there for the bridal party and vendors the day of.

Let's see:1. Baseball themed STDs and invitations2. Baseball themed cake with a theatre twist3. Recessed to "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" instrumental4. Had a swordfight at the reception5. Had to go through a hockey rink to get to our venue
I will say, where I'm from, a Chick-fil-A catered reception would not go over well at all. Good luck!

I would love to go to a Harry Potter themed wedding! And since you planned ahead with tents and a gazebo I'm sure it all turned out fine! Congrats on your wedding!
