Welcome bags are a really nice touch for your out-of-town guests! But do you now expect to see them at the room block, or are they still an extra pleasant surprise? Are welcome bags a 'need to have' or 'nice to have' thing? Photo from Hyatt House West Loop in Chicago Next Question: Rehearsal Dinner?...

Welcome bags are nice, and yes I doing them for everyone. If you look for sales and have friends who are crafty it can work. Besides, I am buying things in bulk little by little so when the day gets here they are already made and not breaking my bank!

Nice to have. I honestly didn't even know these were a thing.

I don't find them necessary but they're definitely nice to have! I think if you have a lot of guests traveling from out of town they're good to offer, small snacks, bottle of water, travel guide with things to do, maybe some emergency items like advil, etc. But I don't think they're a necessity.

    Nice to have.

Personally, I don't get the concept.

Nice to have. I'm doing some for my out of town guests in hotels, only.

It’s a nice to have. But I guess I’m reminded i don’t have many out of town guests.

100% optional. I have never expected them as a guest, nor did I even know they were a thing. If you have extra money you want to spend, they can be nice but totally not necessary. Spend the money on making the reception memorable.

I guess it is a nice to have. It isn't necessary. But I've always liked them.
