Underrated! I love this idea, especially if you have a lot of out of town guests. IMO, a wedding is a celebration and why not start off the weekend with some cute welcome things.

Overrated! I've traveled for several weddings and have never received one. I do really appreciate favors, though. Smiley smile

Definitely overrated and not a necessity. Cute thought but not necessary

Underrated. For us, most of our guest are traveling from out of town. I think this will make our guest feel welcomed.

Underrated! So many people say it’s unnecessary and expensive. But traveling for someone else’s wedding costs hundreds of dollars and usually a whole weekend, so as a guest it’s nice to arrive in your hotel room to find a little bag of treats and maybe some aspirin. Welcome bags are not expensive, but they mean so much.

Overrated but a sweet gesture. It’s one of those things if you can afford it go for it but if it’s adding unnecessary expenses to your budge then it’s not worth it.

Underrated. It’s always a pleasant surprise if we get one while traveling for a wedding. We will most likely do them, depending on our final hotel count.

Underrated. I am doing welcome bags for my hotel guests. I think it shows appreciation and it is a nice touch. It doesn't have to expensive and over the top. I also think it's a nice touch if you're not doing favors.

Overrated in that they are absolutely not necessary, BUT underrated in that they are a super nice gesture towards the guests!

I like the idea but wouldn't want to make it an added expense for the couple. It's fine if keep in moderation.

Underrated, although we’re not personally doing them. But I went to a wedding that did them and felt really appreciated as a guest.

Underrated. We have a lot of family that are traveling in for our wedding (like 6+ hour drives or flying). it's a nice touch to have something small for them at the hotel.

I think it can be a nice touch if it’s in your budget and you focus on local treats and things for your guests, but in general it’s just more money and work.

Overrated. They are just unnecessary and never heard of them until WeddingWire. However, if others want to do that, I have no issues.

Overrated. We're not doing a hotel block. Only 2 people coming from out state.
