Welcome gathering wording

Are you looking at putting this on your invite or wedding website? If it isn’t hosted I would probably just spread it by word of mouth.

If it's not prepaid or hosted I would tell everyone just by word of mouth that you're going to be a specific place if they want to come hang out. If you give it a formal name or put it on a formal invitation people will most likely get the impression that you're hosting it.

Oooh, I’m jumping in because I’ve been wondering this same thing. I’ve read you don’t put it on/in the invite if you’re not hosting, so there’s that, but I’d like to put it on the wedding website I guess....?

I was thinking on my wedding website.. Ok so just "Hey we will be here, come say hi?"

I wouldn't put it anywhere in writing because it seems like you are hosting it. Just spread it by word of mouth.

I added this info on a paper insert I included with invitations, the paper said where we have a room block, our wedding website link, and that there would be an unhosted welcome gathering Friday night at xyz bar. Maybe it’s not “proper etiquette” to include that but I don’t think anyone will take offense to it being unhosted and that’s much easier than spreading the word to over 200 guests by mouth.
