Welcome Kit for Guests?

Elizabeth, on May 17, 2019 at 7:46 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9
Is anyone putting together a welcome kit or goodie bag for their out-of-town guests? I'd like to do something, however, I do understand that our guests will have limited luggage space. Any thoughts on something we could do for a welcome token or should we put our resources towards something fun the day after?

I would stick with edible stuff- snacks, water, etc for welcome bags if you choose to do them. As a guest I would prefer something fun the day after, even if I had to pay. We’re looking at getting a group rate for the adventure park in Breckenridge for guests to join us at a discounted rate.

We are not doing a welcome bag but instead made reservations for the out of town guests at the bar and bought their first round and then we are having a brunch the next day,

I love Alyssa’s idea of buying their first round! We are doing bags, since a lot of our guests are making a long weekend of it. We are sticking with snacks and drinks- water, mini sodas, mini liquor bottles (Tito’s for me and Jack for fiancé), and then some local jersey shore snacks like salt water taffy, Hank’s hot sauce, boardwalk popcorn.

I would do pamphlets for places they could visit while they are here, water (since higher elevation ), mini sunscreen, and maybe a small token from the town you are getting married in (like a WTF welcome to Fruita sticker). At least that’s my plan Smiley smile

My mom put ours together. It was all snacks (cookies, chips, popcorn, water etc.) And a cute Welcome to New Jersey postcard!

Stuff that will help them while they are in town! We will be doing some mini water bottles, some mini packs of Tylenol, chips/pretzels, etc. I’ll also probably throw in a train schedule (hotel is right by the commuter rail that goes into Boston).

I agree with Jessica. Water & local snacks (including healthy stuff) would be most appreciated. Not really into take-home stuff unless small, edible & from the local area (jam, jerky, honey, coffee or tea).

We will do some for out of town guest staying onsite. Just some snacks, drinks, a hangover kit. We will also have nice toiletry baskets in all the bathrooms.
