Welcome Party: Beach bbq

Crystal, on April 14, 2022 at 4:40 AM Posted in Parties and Events 1 1
So I’ve been going back and forth on whether we should host a welcome party and/or rehearsal dinner. We all know weddings are expensive and I just don’t see the need to spend the extra cash. Also, I prefer to do something more fun/personal and not so formal.

Our wedding will be in Dana Point, CA and we are checking in a few days early. I’m really excited to explore the city and I figured maybe we can host a welcome party at the beach. Notify everyone in the “Details” section of the invitation stationery so they know in advance. Have some food, music, beach games, and just have a good time with everyone before things get hectic on wedding day!
Thoughts?

Love it! We, too, are doing a Welcome Party as about 80% of our guests will be flying in from out of state. I want it casual and fun (and cheap) as well. I would love to do it at our condo clubhouse, but I don't know if I want the stress of cleaning up afterwards LOLOL So not sure where we will eventually wind up - our favorite Italian place that I had originally planned on suddenly won't reserve their patio area unless we do a full catered meal. Ummm, know, I'm paying enough for the reception thank you. Ugh!
