Welcome Party - Open Seating. How many tables?

Jennifer, on November 12, 2021 at 9:08 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 2
We are having a welcome party/rehearsal dinner for our destination wedding (well, it’s a destination for everyone but my fiancé and I). It’s going to be open seating. The venue has 8 picnic tables, which seats 6 people each. Assuming 80 people, how many additional tables should I get?

So that will leave 32 people. Most tables fit 6 to 8, so you'll want 4 to 6 tables depending on what style of table you'll be getting. I personally would also add 1 or 2 additional tables if space and budget allow, since it's open seating. But that's just me! And it all depends on what your table options are.

Thanks! That makes sense. I'll do 1 or 2 additional tables if the venue space permits. The venue also has square tables that seat 4 people that I wasn't planning on using, so if all else fails, we can just pull those from the inside and bring them outside.
