Welcome sign outside church or reception?

Alexandria, on July 18, 2018 at 2:21 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9
I want to make a welcome sign on a mirror, something to the effect "welcome to the wedding of ......". I was planning on putting the sign at the entrance to the reception but then I thought, the actual wedding ceremony takes place at the church.
I don't want to put the mirror sign in front of the church because then I'd have to have someone be in charge of transporting it to the reception (which is only 10 minutes away, but the mirror will be fairly large).
I'm not opposed to making 2 signs in 2 different styles but how should I word the one outside the reception? I don't really like "fun starts here". And what should I do for outside the church (picture attached)? I should add, the church and reception are very grand and elegant.
Can anyone give me ideas or suggestions for either sign or solutions? (Picture attached of the style of sign I'd like to put at the reception)

Will you have a coordinator? I had a very large welcome sign that I used in front of the church and then had my coordinator move it to the reception which was about 10 minutes away. Or maybe it could fit in a family member's back seat so they could take it to both places?

No, no coordinator unfortunately. Im sure if I asked someone to transport it, they would. I just hate having to ask 😬

I understand and I would feel similar to you. However, I think if this is the only thing you ask that it is such a small favor it shouldn't be a problem for a good friend or close relative. Your sign is so beautiful it would be a shame not to have it displayed at both locations.

If you do two signs, youll still have to carry sign #2 from point A to point B.
Save some money and just do one sign ☺

We are doing 2 different signs. The sign at the church will say Welcome to our Wedding with the program of the ceremony below and the 2nd sign will be at our reception will say Welcome to Our Beginning.

I went to a wedding last month that had a mirror welcome sign. The wind blew it over and it shattered into a million pieces 😭 make sure this doesn’t happen to your sign! Get a stable stand for it to sit on, out it in a spot that’s not windy, etc

Can you have a sign outside the church? The church my sister got married in was very strict and there wasn't much decor they could add inside or outside.
