Todays Focus: My welcome sign.

I have my 3 inspirations and am looking to merge the three into something I love. However, chalkboard signs seem to be so expensive! Where did you buy yours? Has anyone DIY-ed one of these?

I would love to see your welcome sign inspo pics, or from BAM members what yours looked like!

Got them both of a buy sell trade page on Facebook. I love them both. The heart shaped one will be set up in the church and thinking the just married either will hang behind our table or be used as photo prop

I am making mine. Went to Home Depot, bought some wood (they cut it for you), stained it. And then I am using a friends cricuit to make it. Save me a lot of money, and honestly didn’t take too long

Not much, just a lot of time! Lol.
I went to Home Depot and bought three wood panels (maybe 60-70 in wood) and then a can of stain for like 6 bucks. Chalk is a dollar at most craft stores. So for less than 80, I made three large signs (a welcome to our beginning one for the church, the one pictured for the reception, and a quote one), as well as a “find your seat” slim sign and another slim sign that said “sign our guestbook”. I also bought wooden canvases at michaels as well though - those were cheap maybe 7 dollars each with a coupon for the memorial one and cards and gifts one. Cheap comparatively because I looked on Etsy and for one sign smaller than mine they were between 70-120!

I would love to DIY my own! How much did the project cost you in total on average? People on Etsy are charging $40-70 which seems to much for me just for a “welcome”

Exactly! Etsy is so expensive for these things!
So $80 for 3 signs? That’s a deal! I will also have to check michaels and ACMOORE I forgot that they have a variety of wood panels!

I bought enough wood and stain for two large signs. My welcome sign is 4ft tall. I would say I spent probably 25 dollars on all of it. I already had the vinyl, so that might be a little pricey. But if you shop around, michaels has half off some times.

Chalk board paint, luan board, 2x3 wood and one talented bridesmaid equals awesome signs for about $3 each. Left over white paint from my parents porch!
