We've been married for 28 days... I miss my wedding. :( I miss planning and buying and pretty wedding things!

Mrs._OregonDucks_Fan, on August 7, 2011 at 3:40 PM Posted in Married Life 0 24

I'm such a goob... Every time I go somewhere I STILL look down the wedding aisle. I miss planning my wedding and being excited for it to get here, and looking at my dress... and WEARING my dress. I love my dress. My pretty pretty dress.

.... I miss my dress. lol.

Go have sex! LOL. Smiley smile

Just kidding, I understand there must be a big letdown after such a big build up. Can you play with your wedding presents and have lots of "fun" with your new hubby?

Aww, well do you need to do any re-decorating, there are lots of pretty stuff you can buy for that lol. Or maybe you can pick up some other creative hobbies, or plan a trip for the future or something :-) Maybe you can make a scrapbook with the wedding photos if you've gotten that back yet..there are also tools for digital scrapbooking too if you are more into that.

Go put your dress on and dance around in it! Smiley smile It's not like you can't wear it again!

Get a hobby that requires you to be creative, like the other lovely ladies mentioned. There is always something that needs a makeover! Or you can always come on here & give other brides ideas! Smiley winking

I have heard this can happen. That sucks. But there are plenty things you can plan...plan a fun vacation (next year perhaps?) ....or a nice first anniversary trip. I'm a planner by nature...so I worry this "after wedding depression" might happen to me too!

Not married yet but I know what you mean. I always hate when something BIG ends, and I know my wedding day is going to be a big, exciting day! Smiley smile

Mrs. Oregon - I completely agree! It is hard to describe the feeling you get after the wedding day and honeymoon have come and gone. It is almost like a post-partem deal. I have another two weeks until the new school year starts, so I guess I will be throwing myself into thank you notes and reorganzing the kitchen so I can fit the gifts somewhere other than the spare bedroom. Are you also having wedding envy? Watching all the couples have their destination weddings while we were on our honeymoon made me miss our wedding day.

On the positive, I get to look forward to choosing the pictures for my wedding album and await the amazing work from my videographer.

Awww. I can't say I know the feeling exactly, but I definitely know what you mean. One one hand, I can't wait to be married, but on the other, I still really like the planning stages.

I think that planning something else will keep your mind occupied. I do that. Anytime I take a vacation I plan for something back home to look forward to so I don't "crash" when I get home.

Hey we got married on the same day!!!! Love it! I was soooo high off of my wedding for like A WEEK. What a great feeling to see a year and a half of planning come to fruition without a hitch, and seeing all of the guests having a good time. You are now an extremely useful tool for friends and family in their future weddings. My sister-in-law, a girlfriend starting asking for opinions within the week about their weddings (their not engaged yet Smiley tongue)

After all that planning, I can understand! A neighbor of my parents' is getting married at the same venue that we are using - a year and a half after us. So I'm planning on getting my "wedding fix" by helping them. Definitely find someone else that might need some help!!

I'm worried this will happen to me. I'm putting my heart and soul into this wedding with all my DIY projects and all. I think I will atleast have some home decor projects to distract me.. I hope. If you want something to do, if you don't already have an account, sign up for stumbleupon.com and you can find tons of crafts you can do for home decor, also if you want an invite to pinterest.com, PM and I will invite you ( same type site as stumbleupon.com)! I like what Jessica L said, put on your dress and dance around in it! I told FH its gonna take all I have to not want to vacuum in it lol. Hey, if you haven't done a TTD photo shoot, and if you don't wanna hire a pro, grab a friend and have them do some TTD pics!

I'm worried this will happen to me too lol! I love doing all the DIY stuff, I'm probably going to turn into a huge arts and crafts nerd after the wedding. Oh wait, I already am a huge arts and crafts nerd.
