What are all the unity symbols for a wedding?

Deborah , on August 6, 2018 at 3:47 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4
My FH didn't even know that unity symbols were part of some weddings. I asked him what he wanted and he just looked confused poor man. I was wondering besides sand, trees, and candles is there another way of displaying unity during the ceremony? I wanted to give him all the options and I realized I didnt know all of them.

Hand tying ceremony, unity cross ceremony, start a family bible, ring blessing (pass rings around 2 family n they pray n bless them), exchange personal vows, whatever you all make to be a ceremony that would be memorable really.. try googling wedding ceremony ideas or wedding rituals

We are doing a hand fastening ceremony. It's where the couple has their hands bond by different colored cords. Each color has a specific meaning and you can add charms on the ends as well with different meanings. I have also seen beer, wine, paint, a ring warning (the rings are passed through the guests as a way to warm them and pass all of the guests love to the couple), I have heard of crystal/gem ceremonies of the same nature.

If you are unsure, my suggestion is to sit down with your FH and go through a bunch together and see what you both like!
