What are you dictating for your bridesmaids?

Are you identifying their jewelry, shoes and hair? Combination of those? Or is it whatever they feel comfortable with?

    Designer, Fabric, Length and Color.

One of my bridesmaid is a fan of 80s eye make up so I'll be secretly telling the MUA NOT to listen to her requests.

They can wear whatever shoe they want, not necessary to cover tattoos, they don't have to come to the rehearsal dinner if they don't want to, but I am requesting them to show up at the hotel ON TIME.

I picked the designer/color/fabric of the dresses and their earrings. Everything else was on them, their shoes, hair, make up, etc!

I'm having my girls all go together to finalize dress choices - i have it narrowed down to 3....i bought jewellery as part of their gift....and i asked them to all wear flats as quite a few of them have bad backs and i didnt want those girls feeling awkward.....for hair, i asked them to do an updo but asked them to pick their own style......and i paid for their makeup and they can get the girl to do whatever as long as it looks nice! Smiley smile

Nothing really except the color and length of their dress. I also asked that they wear their hair up but ultimately it's their decision.

I chose the dress (which they all liked) and I was going to let them choose their own shoes, but the color of the dress makes it difficult to find cute shoes, so I just went ahead and bought them (because they may very well not wear them again). I bought them earrings, but I'm not making them wear those to the wedding.

In the past, as a bridesmaid, I've been dictated shoes, dress, jewelry, make-up, everything. It didn't bother me - it was their day!

I am not a Bridezilla. I picked the dress and bought their jewelry. I only asked that they buy silver shoes of their choice ...

I'll be having them all wear the same dress. Since the dress will be long (I don't like short dresses) they will be allowed to pick their own shoes and also jewelry. As far as hair I plan on giving them a general style, but allowing them to do it themselves or get it professionally done if they choose.

I told them to pick a teal dress and gold shoes. They chose to get hair and make up done, paid for by me. I am buying their earrings.

I picked their dresses but gave them the option to do the sleeves however (dress is traditionally strapless but very easy to add straps). Their jewelry and shoes are part of their gift from me, makeup they are doing on their own and hair my MOH is informing them that they need to have it done at the same place we are getting ours (mostly because we are both hair stylists and the last thing she wants is for them to attempt to do it themselves and then her and I spend the hours before the wedding trying to fix it). We are getting it done at the cosmetology school we went to, so it's only costing each girl about 20.

I gave them a color for the dress and asked that it not be one shoulder but that's it. Everything else is up to them.

Dress material and color..everything else was up to them..plus I threw in a 50 dollar certificate to DB. Anything else I viewed as being a bit too controlling; I do realize that's not a popular opinion though.

We all picked out a dress together. I literally had them vote on it. They are all wearing the same color shoes but can pick any style. I am buying them all matching necklaces, and that was also something I had them vote on. They are all wearing pearl stud earrings that they already own. I'm paying for their hair, but they can do it in any style.
