What are you doing to denote "chicken" / "beef" etc on your cards?

Courtney, on November 9, 2018 at 3:56 PM Posted in Planning 0 22

I like the idea of the little chicken or beef stickers, but I don't want to purchase them and have a load left over?

Any alt ideas?

You could have a clip art of a chicken drumstick or a steak?

I went to a wedding who did just red and blue dots with a sharpie! I thought that was handy for sure and she just let the coordinator know what they stood for and boom!

I purchased the stickers from a site on Etsy where you can order the exact number of each one that you need and the turn around time was very quick! I think I just had a small number left over as I ordered a few extra just in case!

I purchased mini rubber stamps that go with our theme and plan to stamp each place card based on the meal the guest chooses.

We did the little stickers. Ordered them from Etsy. They came extremely quickly so we ordered after we got RSVP numbers.

I googled “cow silhouette” “chicken silhouette” etc and made my files in Avery and just added them as images. It let me change the colors and everything with the color dropper. If you’re relatively good with computers it’ll be easy!

I used a legend using the trees in our invitation suite/day of paper. 3 trees = beef; 2 trees = salmon; and 1 tree = chicken.

I’m doing coded stamps. Something like snowflake for beef and mountain for chicken or something else themed. I’m not a huge fan of the outline stickers

I definitely prefer a code! Color or symbol. Or plain coded stickers (gold stars v blue stars or something in your color scheme).

My daughter cut out flower shapes with a Cricut (the library has one to use!), and attached them to the corner of the escort card. Blue-beef, yellow-chicken, green-vegetarian. Anyone with a food restriction had that noted on the flower, GF-gluten free, ND-no dairy, and the like. She communicated all this with the venue coordinator, he said it was one of the best and clearest method he had seen, while still looking attractive.

I purchased little gem like stickers in blue, red and purple. I made beef red, blue was chicken and purple was for the veggie dishes. I provided the color lost to the venue so they knew which was what.

I ended up going to Michaels and getting little gold gems for beef, silver gems for chicken and pearls for veg. That should work OK! Smiley smile

I had planned on doing little dot stickers that matched the wedding colors but the animal stickers are cute too!

Whichever dish you think will be most popular, leave the place card blank. Then use a sticker as the other item. We offered steak & pasta. As RSVPs came in, steak won by a landslide. So we bought one packet of red crystals for pasta eaters and steak eaters’ place cards left blank. Easy!

We're doing marble tiles for placecards... names on front, and then on the back hand drawing emblems (we're going to paint the backside of these. I was just drawing as an example)

This is what we decided on
    1 gold gem = Chicken
    2 silver gems = beef
    3 Pearl's = Veg
    Allergies = red heart

I'm really happy with how this came out!
