What are you doing with your dog the day of your wedding??

We've got a 7 year old lab.. every time we go out of town we have one of our moms or close friends watch him but they'll be at the wedding too. We've never boarded him (we've never HAD to) and we don't want him to be home alone all day -- he's an indoor dog. What are you doing with your dog, if he's...

I'm weird about trusting people with him.

Since we aren't having kids at the wedding, one of my BM's daughters is going to watch her.

Funny you would ask this question today, I just went to their Spa to inquiry about mini vacay for my dogs. Well they only offer day services; no overnight. Now I have another thing to worry about. I should have eloped, I really should have

We typically have a kennel-free boarding facility where we live but are getting married 5 hours away. So, we are most likely using an in-home pet sitter that is offered through a similar facility near the wedding venue. S/he will stop by and let him out to run and play during the day/night a few times.

We, unfortuantely, have to board our dog. Usually, we try to leave him with a good friend of ours but she's also attending the wedding so it won't work out. We've used the same pet hotel a couple of times before and we've found them to be very good (they post daily pics of their guests on their Facebook page for the owners to see). I would've loved to have our dog as part of our wedding but the church just won't allow it (and I'm scared that he's going to stop and pee on a pew or something in the middle of the ceremony. LOL!). The only thing we could do was include him in our engagement photos.

We will be boarding them in a nice pet hotel probably. We are having a destination wedding so there will be no one to watch them while we are gone.

ETA: will definitely be a place with 24/7 cameras so I can check on them online Smiley smile

We're taking our dog to FH's sister's house. We had her watch the dog overnight a few weeks ago so we know our pup will be okay with being there. FSIL has nice neighbors so they'll check on our dog while we're all at the wedding. FH's parents will watch her while we're on our honeymoon!

@ Silent_Typewriter. OMG You have a Corgi. We have one too. We got him after our wedding, so we didn't have to deal with what to do with him during our wedding.

Most of the time he goes to the in-laws. We are probably going on vacation in February and that's where he'll be going.

I'm pretty sure our dog will just be staying home. I will let him out before I head over to the ceremony and then we pass our place which is right near the reception so we can have some one let him out again.

Oh, they are going to a kennel. FH is not happy as they have never had to before but I am not backing down on this one. We live 2 hours from where we are getting married and it is just not feasible to drive back and forth to take care of them that weekend. Our white Pit is not a people person but the kennel we are using seems to have a good system in place for this Smiley smile

My FH and one of his groomsmen will be at our house until the morning of at least. We've asked that same groomsmen to stay in the guest room the night of the wedding while FH and I are in the hotel. We'll be watching his dog for a few weeks so its only fair that he repay the favor for 1-2 days.

The honeymoon won't be until about a month after the wedding but the dogs will stay with FHs parents for that week.

Hope you can figure it out!
