Us too, but the day after the wedding will be spent saying good bye to friends and family and driving back home (2hr ) drive and when we get home we will need to get our three doggies to their babysitters then collapse I assume and sleep and in the morning hit the airport!

As a DW, we're hosting our guests for a day-after brunch before they head for home and we head for our honeymoon

That sounds similar to us, wedding is 2 hours from home. Puppy will stay with in laws for the week. We dont know where the honeymoon is yet or when we will leave but i def want a day of snuggles and a lazy brunch with out being on a schedule to take my time with new husband

The day after the wedding will be brunch with my family and the wp that wants to attend for the gift opening (eating any leftovers from the wedding) at my folks place. It's conveinient because my folks live halfway between where we are getting married and where we will be living at the time, so we can just stop on our way home. we will not be taking a long honeymoon because my FH works in the wedding industry and we are getting married during his busy season, so he will need to be back at work the next week. We will probably just go to Kansas City after the wedding and then we plan to take a bigger one later.

We had breakfast with our guests, then drove home so we could organize the at-home reception three days later.

We're doing a mini-moon to Sedona, which is only 2 hours away so the day after the wedding we're going to sleep in, go to brunch and make our way to Sedona with some sight seeing on the way. FH has been in Phoenix for a year now, I've been here for about 6 months now and haven't done much exploring. I'm kind of wishing we weren't taking off that day because we have so many friends coming in for the wedding that I don't know when we'll get to see them again. I'm thinking about seeing if FH wants to have everyone meet up for brunch.

Dh and I came home that night of the wedding and woke up with the kids in the morning. We opened our cards and read them together which was really nice. We then just spent the day together as a family. We left for our mini moon a few days later.
